Chapter 65 Despair

Third Person

A loud crashing sound startled everyone, including Sans and Chara, Asriel came running to where they were in a panic, "hurry! Papyrus is hurt!" Sans's eye lit up in blue flames instantly, he teleported to their house and saw what the crash was, a telephone pole had fallen, Papyrus was pinned underneath it, Sans used his magic to lift the pole off of him and ran over to his side, "bro..ther? Are you...th..ere? I.. I tried to pro..te..ct the..m but.. I couldn't.. Get away.. In ti..me.. So..rry.. Brother.." Papyrus was very weak everyone could tell, "no no no, Papyrus! Come on bro, stay with me!"

Papyrus's soul floats into the air and shatters into dust as his body fades, a silence follows as Sans grieves for his brother's death.

"Sans? Papyrus saved me.. If he hadn't of pushed me out of the way.. I would have died.. I'm so sorry.." Frisk said through tears, she quickly ran into Asriel's arms and sobbed into his chest, Chara had witnessed Papyrus dying and was holding back tears but they just kept flowing down her face and onto the ground below, everyone was quietly weeping for a few seconds when the ground began to shake, Sans walked towards Chara but the ground beneath them split, separating the two from each other, Sans teleported across and teleported back with Chara, Frisk was pale, "this is what started happening in my vision.." Asriel looked at her and held her in his arms, everyone looked to Frisk for answers, as to what she had seen, Frisk gave in and started sobbing, "I saw everyone die! Everyone but me, and Chara, no one else survived! Then everything went white, the world vanished! It was so scary! I don't want to see it happen again..!" After saying this Frisk covers her eyes sobbing into Asriel's chest again, he holds her tight stating that he wasn't going anywhere, he was right there and nothing was gonna change that.

CRACK

Another quake, more cracks in the ground underneath, started to form growing larger and larger, "where can we go? Something isn't right about this!" Undyne announced, no one had any ideas

Go to Mt.  Ebott

A voice echoed through everyone's heads, Frisk spoke up first "maybe we should go to Mt. Ebott" everyone nodded their heads and made their way to their cars "Alphys!" Undyne yelled from behind as they both disappeared through a crack in the earth, everyone ran forward only to see them turn to dust as they fell, no time to mourn, the cracks were getting larger and would catch up to them soon, they started driving, going past street after street heading towards Mt. Ebott, What did the underground have to do with what was happening to the surface? Chara thought to herself, a tree fell, Sans, Chara, Asriel, and Frisk got past, Toriel and Asgore got trapped behind it, "go! Get to Mt. Ebott! We'll find another way around!" Chara and Frisk didn't want to but they weren't the ones driving, Sans stepped on the pedal and sped away getting closer to Mt. Ebott, Toriel and Asgore watched behind them as the cracks grew closer behind them, they couldn't get away, they held each other before finally the cracks reached them and they fell turning to dust in the car. "Why is this happening!?" Chara screamed, Frisk and Asriel were silent, Sans's eye was flaming blue, they reached Mt. Ebott and quickly climbed to the top where the entrance to the underground would be located, but all that was there instead was a blank white wall of light, that seemed to go on forever. "The underground, it's gone?!" Sans announced with a spot of fear in his voice, they turned around only to see everything else but Mt. Ebott to be also enveloped in the same white light, "someone's erased the timeline.." Chara spoke up, "I don't know how.. But someone made their way to the underground and chose to erase the timeline.. But.. Why? Who..?"

You, Chara, and only you can stop her.

Chara was confused, she looked to Sans, Frisk, and Asriel, their bodies were starting to fade, then hers to, everything went white, then black, one word appeared in front of her.
