[I never Sleep]

Chara

I looked around, everything was black, why? What happened? I was just in Sans's arms.. What now? What could possibly happen if I'm here now?

You didn't think I was done with you, did you?

Just a voice, but it brought back very painful memories,then there was light, I was back in the underground, it looked like the ruins, but.. I was ih my body, but someone else was in control. "Whoever you are, stop this now, or I'll stop you myself!"

Poor little Chara, have you forgotten me? The one who gave you the power? The power to take revenge on all these stupid monsters, the power to ERASE it all?!

"Wh- who are you?! Stop this already! " I shouted, but my words were not heard, whoever was in control walked into the room with Flowey, who wasn't paying attention, a flash of light glinted in my right hand and I gasped "no!" Too late, Flowey was cut in half right before my eyes, and then cut over and over till nothing was left, "why are you doing this?!"

You forgot about me, you thought I'd gone to sleep, that I'd never existed in the first place! For what? That trash bag skeleton?! I'm going to remind you who you REALLY are, a TRUE monster!

I didn't understand what the voice meant, forgot them? I don't even know who they are. "I don't know who you are! Show yourself! Stop this!" A shadow appeared in front of me, a bright red smile lit it's face and two glowing amber red eyes stared back at me

Now you remember me, your hatred, for monsters, for humans, for everything, and now.. I'm gonna do the job for you, I'm gonna kill... EVERYONE

"No!" I shouted and grabbed for them, but nothing was in my hands, they'd already disappeared, and my body resumed moving, I watched in despair as dust piled up on my clothes and the ruins emptied slowly, I tried to call for genocide or pacifism but neither of them could hear me, I was in my own body, but no one could help me, an invisible wall blocked my Every path, and no amount of hitting budged it, I screamed in frustration, then gasped at what I saw next, as tears rolled down my face, not even a second after Toriel opened the door she was stabbed through with the knife, and her body sank as it crumbled to dust "no!!" I cried, it made me angry, but it wasn't over, snowdin was emptied quickly, I didn't see Papyrus or Sans, thankfully, until we reached the end of Snowdin, where Papyrus was waiting, I tried to shout, to scream out and warn Papyrus, but it was no use, no one could hear me, Papyrus's body crumbled to dust shortly after the fight was over, more tears ran down my face as I watched Undyne, Mettaton, Monster Kid, Alphys, even the last two dog knights, no one was able to stop them.. Judgement hall awaited and I felt a force pulling me, like I was a puppet on strings

Now it's your turn, Chara, finish the job, go back to how you truly were meant to be! Kill this worthless monster!

"I won't!" I shouted, knowing full well that if I refused long enough that they might give up, then I heard footsteps behind me, my body turned around abruptly and fear gripped me, face to face with Sans, his face was dark and his left eye ablaze with a blue flame, I felt a tug and I was pulled right up to him, my soul glowing blue "Why Chara, why did you do it? I thought you'd changed.. What caused this?!" Before i could respond a flash of my knife and Sans teleported away. "So that's how it is then.." A tear dropped from Sans's face as he raised his hand, a very familiar skeletal face appeared, blue light formed in it's mouth as it opened

Let's see how much your skeleton really loves you, heh heh heh!

"Wh-?" As I was about to ask what they meant I was back in control of my body, and enveloped by the blast at the same time, pain, everywhere, I dropped to the ground burns all over my skin, I looked up at Sans, his eye was still burning blue, no mercy, he killed me without hesitation as a bone pierced through my heart

Hahaha! That was so much fun! Dying and resetting! Come on! Let's work together! We can easily defeat that weak bag of bones!

I shook my head, now that I was in control I pressed the reset button, warm light enveloped everything and I was back in judgement hall. "So you're back, huh? Why? If you knew better you'd have stayed dead.." Sans's words were cold and filled with hatred, there wasn't an ounce of hope in them at all.. "I'm not gonna fight you Sans, I can't.. Not again..!" I shouted, but my body moved on it's own, Sans without hesitation, as if he'd ignored my words completely immediately threw me into a pillar, it was painful, but not as painful as seeing him die would be.. I won't let it happen!

You really don't get it do you? He doesn't really love you, he's fooling you, that smile? Those moments you shared? He's faking it! He just wants to keep you from killing everyone else! Now.. KILL HIM this time.. Or I'll do it myself.

I was in control again, the light flashed and I was back in judgement hall, "back again.. I should have known you never really loved me.." Tears fell from my eyes, those words really hurt, I threw the knife from my hands as far away as I could, hoping that it would prevent myself, the old me.. From hurting him

WRONG!

Immense pain shot through my body, I was back in my mind again but the pain didn't go away, as I looked down there were black tendrils burning my skin, it hurt so much I screamed out, but I could not close my eyes they were forcing me to keep them open, I watched as I got closer and closer to Sans, I knew he wouldn't last much longer, I couldn't move, they had complete control, as I saw the knife slash across his chest I screamed out, but he couldn't hear me..

Poor Chara, the big bad bag of bones is dead, reducing to dust, and now you're powerless to stop me, you know that right? So why don't you just give it up and join me? Help me REALLY kill him.

"No.."

Wh-?!

"I won't let you hurt anyone ever again!" Determination welled up inside of me and I grabbed my old self through the tendrils as they ripped off of my skin, just then I felt them, Genocide, and Pacifism, they were right next to me.

Gh! I got rid of you! How?! Agh!

The determination welling from inside of me burned the old me, it gave me power more power than they could fight, the darkness of my mind cleared and they were left alone standing there smiling at me

So you won this time.. But you know what? That's just fine.. Some day you'll realize that he doesn't really love you.. When you do, I'll always be here.. Even if you don't, I'll be waiting.. For that moment when your determination falters.. Because.. I Never Sleep.

"Chara! Chara!  Wake up!" I heard someone shouting my name, I opened my eyes to see Sans, his face was filled with fear, what was wrong? I looked over to my side, the knife that I'd had in my dream, it was there in my hand, but it was slowly vanishing, I looked at Sans and smiled assuring him everything was alright, I will never return to my old self.. They may never sleep, but I will never lose my determination!
