Chapter 27 The Journey Begins

Third Person

Sans smiled and sighed today was the day that everything would change, for better or for worse he would protect her all the way, as he leaned against the wall he began to wonder what the surface was like and what he and Chara would see when they got there, he stopped thinking snapping back to reality when he heard the familiar sound of the door opening and there was Chara her hair was neatly brushed, she kept the same clothes she had on before, she had a bright smile on her face as she walked up to him and pecked him on the cheek then grabbed his hand leading him downstairs before whispering to herself "today's the day, everything starts today."

Toriel heard them coming down the stairs and quickly finished setting the table a slice of pie on each plate, she sat down and as they entered the kitchen smiled at them brightly Chara took the first bite and squealed in delight, she really did love Butterscotch Cinnamon pie.

After they finished eating and the dishes were washed they sat down and discussed where to start from, Sans spoke up first, "when we go through waterfall, Undyne has already met Chara and I'm pretty sure she won't do anything this time so that will be fine, hot lands and mettaton is a whole other story, Chara will probably have to fight Mettaton and spare them while we watch and encourage from the sidelines, if things get bad I'll jump in and use my magic to restrain that chunk of metal before it can hurt Chara.. Then there's Asgore.." Sans pauses at that moment, he didn't know how we was going to fight the king and he wouldn't send Chara to face him alone, then toriel spoke up, "let me handle Asgore, Sans, I've been meaning to give that old goat a good piece of my mind ever since I left." Toriel said with a frown on her face, Chara knew she meant it but could tell there were other feelings and she knew she had one other thing she had to do, before she left the underground and went outside with Sans, she had to find Asriel.

Asriel, her brother, the plan they had, the plan that failed and caused Toriel and Asgore so much suffering. A tear ran down her eye, Toriel noticed it immediately "my child, what's wrong?" She asked concerned. Chara shook her head, and wiped the tear away, "it's nothing mom, just..a memory.." She said sadly, but Toriel didn't press further she nodded and stood up "well I think we've got everything figured out, how about we get going?" Sans and Chara nodded in agreement and walked to the door when it was kicked open violently and in stepped Undyne followed by Papyrus, who greeted them "sup punks! Are we ready to get going now?" Chara, Sans, and Toriel all looked confused but shrugged it off and welcomed Undyne & Papyrus's company and out the door they went, the journey has begun.
