Chapter 17 The Choice

Third Person

Chara raised her hand and gathering all her determination slammed her fist down onto the fight button, shattering it. She smiled weakly at Sans "Everything's okay" she said before hitting mercy, then spare, the fight ended and Sans ran forward to catch Chara as she fainted. Sana set Chara on the bed and examined her soul, she was still alive, just resting, he breathed a sigh of relief and covered her with the blankets, as he tried to walk away she tugged at his shirt not letting go, he chuckled and got under the covers as well cuddling up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "thanks Chara" he said before closing his eyes drifting back off to sleep. Chara woke up in Sans' arms again he was fast asleep, he had a grin on his face and Chara realized he was dreaming, she giggled and kissed his teeth,  "morning sleepy bones" she giggles some more when he opens his eyesockets, "morning Chara, heh, so I guess this means you're not gonna kill anyone huh?" Chara nods then tells Sans about her dream he nodded and wiped away tears when she shed them she teared up the most when she told him about her fight with him, his eye glowed blue every time she mentioned the demonic voice. After she finished explaining what happened Sans explained that he had the same nightmares, sort of, it was always the same, a human falls down, with red eyes and kills everyone, no mercy even Papyrus, he's the only one left to protect the king, but they just kept coming back no matter how many times he killed them, eventually they killed him too then he'd wake up after turning to dust. Chara looked at him with tears in her eyes and hugged him "I'm so sorry.. I put everyone especially you through all of that.." She said through tears "It's alright Chara, you're good now, hey, maybe when Frisk wakes up you two can be friends?" Sans offers with a smile while wiping away her tears. Chara's been through so much, hopefully Alphys finishes building soon, please Frisk just stay asleep a little longer.. Sans thinks to himself then snaps back to reality when Chara tugs on his jacket and snuggles into his arms smiling at him sweetly making his face light up blue. Sans got out of bed first but chara wouldn't let go so he carried her downstairs with him and sat down on the couch, her face was so red a tomato would be jealous he said with a smirk, she retorted telling him his face was so blue a blueberry would be jealous, they both laughed and smiled at each other then Chara's stomach grumbled and she ran into the kitchen to fix breakfast while Sans set the table, Sans didn't see Papyrus anywhere so he figured that he'd left early in the morning to train with Undyne and would be back after his daily training, then smiled at Chara.
