Chara took the first step into the hallway, and the static noise could be heard immediately, not making it easy for them, now was it? Chara thought to herself while Frisk was just dreading having to be attacked by Toriel again, having been the one who pressed the fight button last time she almost wished she never had one in the first place. Chara stopped abruptly, Frisk not paying attention bumped into her back and fell back, she looked forward, Toriel was standing there, but her dress looked torn and ragged, kind of like Monster Kid's clothes, when she turned around she had crazed eyes, and her fur was dirty and ragged just like her dress. "My child.. You've.. Returned?" Chara looked beyond Toriel and towards the door to exit the ruins, it was barred by vines, the static played on loudly, Chara thought for a moment then hummed to herself the music she always heard whenever Toriel was around, patches of color returned to Toriel's clothing, the static weakened and seemed to become much gentler in tone, following along with Chara's humming, the crazed look in her eyes disappeared, and Toriel's soft caring eyes returned, her fur regained it's softness and her dress restored, the vines remained and the static did not stop though. "My child.. What happened? The static noise.. It changed me, but how am I back..?" Toriel was confused, as was Frisk, Chara had a big smile on her face as she found a spot on Toriel's dress that hadn't been changed, the static abruptly became louder and more violent again, Toriel's form changed and her eyes filled with rage, those crazed eyes focused on both Frisk and Chara, she held two fireballs in her hands and threw them at Frisk and Chara, Chara pulled Frisk out of the way as the fireballs hit where they were standing before.

"I've got an idea Frisk, I need you to sing the tune along with me, you know, the song that plays when we're with Toriel" I had a plan, and my first attempt hadn't worked so well, but it did have an effect, maybe with Frisk we could figure this out and bring Toriel back from this nightmare. Frisk nodded to me and we both began to hum the tune, the static fought back, but when we started to sing the tune, our voices started overpowering the static, it weakened so much so that we couldn't hear it anymore, Toriel returned to normal again but we continued to sing, the vines retreated from the doors, the static got even softer, then I realized what the static really was, I sang louder and Frisk did as well, the static couldn't be heard anymore all that could be heard was Toriel's song, all around us, even after we stopped singing all we could hear was her song, Toriel hugged us both, thanking us and wished us luck as she returned to her home in the ruins, the static wasn't our enemy.
