I close the door softly behind me but stand facing the door.

"Harper." Noah whispers behind me. "Look I'm sorry." He sighs. I turn around and sit on the bed beside of Noah without a word. When I turned to face him I see surprise wash on his face.

"You don't look too hurt." I say in a small voice.

"Just a concussion." He says. "What happened to your head? I thought I'd pushed you away fast enough." Noah says surprised. He did that? He pushed me out of the way?" I wonder.

"Just glass." I reply. Noah sits himself up with a grunt of effort.

"I'm sorry." Noah says once more.

"It wasn't your fault." I shake my head.

"Not that. The fight."

"What's there to be honest about? You were just being honest." I shrug. "Can we just forget it?" I ask.

"Definitely." Noah agrees. I smile and hug him.

"I'm sorry." I cry. "God I'm a wreck." I laugh in a strained sort of way.

"You deserve to be a wreck right now I think." Noah replies.

"Yeah." I smile. "This would never have happened in dauntless." I shake my head.

"Yeah we probably would've gotten stabbed or thrown into the chasm before this would've happened." Noah smiles.

"I wanna go back." I whisper.

"Just give it a chance here okay? I think you might like it." Noah says.

I have the guts to roll my eyes but smile a bit to lighten the mood.

"I'm going to bed. I'm tired."

about a week later.

"I hate this place." I knife penetrates the tree.

"I hate these stupid trees." I say through gritted teeth. Another knife hits the target.

"I hate most everybody here." My last knife hits the target.

I open my eyes and see Bianca sitting on a stump watching me throw my knives.

"Did I do better?" I ask. We've been doing this A lot. Stealing steak knives that we store in a hollow tree and the. Use the trees beside it as a target. Only Bianca and I know about this because we didn't trust our other friends since most of them actually enjoyed it here.

"Nope. You did better last time." Bianca states.

"Shoot!" I yell.

"You haven't practiced in forever and you were closing your eyes." Bianca reasons.

"True. Your turn." I switch her out and now I'm sitting in the stump. "Go." I instruct and she closes her eyes and throws her first knife.

"This place smells bad." It hits the target.

"The people here are nice." Bianca says viciously.

"And the vans are stupid." Her last knife hits all the way down hilt deep in the tree.

"Let's go eat we've done this almost ten times and my arm is hurting." I complain.

"Fine." Bianca sighs and returns her knives to the stash in the tree.

"Let's go." I say and we start our small walk back to the apartments. From a little ways off we see a group of people huddled together.

"What's that all about?" Bianca asks.

"Wait." I count the days on my fingers. "Weren't more people from Chicago and the other cities?" I say starting to get excited.

"Oh my god yes!" Bianca squeals and starts at an exited pace along with me up to the group of people. I still have stitches implanted in my head and scratches on my but most have faded. Noah meets us on the outside of the circle of people.

"I can't even make it into the middle. Waiting for the crowd to die down." Noah informs us. "Where have you two been?"

"Just down the street." I shrug. "I'm getting through here." I say trying to avoid this conversation. I push through the crowd as most of the people disperse at the same time and there's just one van left. The people from other factions seem to have already joined there old faction members or other cities except for the dauntless. I get to the middle and see a van that somebody familiar stands hesitantly by.

"Lynn!" I scream and launch myself at her.

"Careful! Don't crush Sawyer!" Lynn replies. And I look down at Sawyer. He looked sickly pale and thin. "I was hoping they had technologies to help him here." Lynn says.

"He's so sick." I shake my head and take him from her. He doesn't talk. Not even really baby gibberish.

"And no body can figure out what's wrong with him." Lynn grimaces. "But I was hoping they could here. Here let me get out of the way so everybody else can get out and you can greet them." Lynn smiles taking Sawyer from
And more people come off the bus. I recognize two from initiation but can't match their faces with names yet. The last person to comes out sends me a worried look that I return with surprise.

"Bianca." I breathe and turn around. I don't seem to be the only person to notice. Peter stands up from where he leans against a building.

Peter looks at me accusingly for a moment but sees I have nothing to do with his arrival.

I turn on my toes and walk toward Bianca who's flinches away and is now backing away from the scene. Peter sends me a look and I know this isn't the time to interfere. I look back at him.

"Why are you here Logan?" I ask. "She's finally healed the wound that you caused and now your ripping it back open!" I accuse but pity shadows my gaze.

"I don't know why I'm here." Logan says honestly.

      "Just don't get near her."
