Chapter 21

Happy Holidays!

I kept my eyes glued to my phone, typing away.

I could feel everyone's eyes on me, I guess it was my turn to play.

Demi wanted to spend some 'family' time before she announced what apparently was "big news" that she had for us.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Ari shout my name loudly.

"What?"

She rolled her eyes, "Ever since mom gave you your phone back you've been attached to it."

Yes, Aria finally started calling Demi mom. It was surprising, considering I never thought it happened. That short period before her mom married Darien they were pretty close so I figured it would just never happen.

But she proved me wrong. And I'm not gonna question why so whatever.

Allison spoke up, "Who are you even texting? I mean no offense but I didn't think you had any friends other than Ari?"

"Well, I mean, I didn't but how about all of you just get off my jock?"

"Sam," I looked up to meet Demi's gaze. she was wearing the same curious expression that everyone else was.

I felt my phone vibrate again and went back to ignoring everybody.

Brandon (7:33pm)- I'm sure it does, babe ;P

I smiled a bit as I reread the text and went to reply back.

Suddenly my phone was snatched straight out of my hands.

"Ooooh, who's Brandonnn?' Aria taunted. I lunged forward, tackling her to the ground.

"GIVE IT BACK!"

" "I'M SURE IT DOES BABE." AWH HE CALLED YOU BABEE. DO YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND, SAMMIE!?" I mentally groaned and quickly grabbed my phone back.

I sat back up in my chair, blushing. Everyone at the table, even little Dani, had a smirk on their face; directed towards me. I rolled my eyes and shot them a glare, shrinking back in my seat.

I suddenly felt my phone vibrate yet again.

Brandon (7:38)- Are you ignoring me? :/

Sam (7:38)- No. My dumbass sister took my phone and read your text out loud to everybody.

Brandon (7:38)- That's hilarious.

Sam (7:40)- No it's not! It was embarrassing and plus now everybody thinks you're my boyfriend.

Brandon (7:40)- Why is that such a bad thing..?

Sam (7:41)- It's not! I mean, you don't even like me so it's just awkward...

Brandon (7:41)- I never said I didn't like you.

Sam (7:42)- ....Do you?

Brandon (7:46)- Maybe ;)

Sam (7:46)- Well that winky face just confirms everything.

Brandon (7:47)- Oh did it?

Sam (7:50)- Maybe ;)

Brandon- (7:51)- Haha okay point taken. So you and me, date, this Friday night?

Sam (7:51)- I have therapy at 8 on Friday :/

Brandon (7:52)- Saturday then? And btw have you talked to your mom about what happened yet?

Sam (7:52)- I told her I almost got hit but I didn't say it was intentional...

Brandon (7:53)- if I hadn't of got you you'd probably would be at a hospital right now. Tell her, or I will.

I pressed the lock button on my phone and sat it down.
