I felt wind hit my face and turned to see everyone staring at me with a shocked look. A boy my age came up to me quickly and glanced my body up and down before pulling me into a hug.

"You could've gotten yourself killed," He whispered. I pulled myself out of the hug and turned away.

"Maybe that's what I was trying to do," I muttered quitely. Before he could say anything else I made a run for it. I ran and ran before I was finally met with my house. I ran home.

I frowned and slowly made my way to the door. I twisted the doornob and was met with Selena, Demi, another girl who I'd never met before, and a few police officers. All of their backs were turned and they were too busy rushing around to notice me standing in the doorway.

Well this is awkward.

I took my time in making my way over to Demi. I was standing right behind her and nobody had even noticed. Right behind her.

I took a step foward and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind, hugging her. I squeezed my eyes shut and buried my face into her shoulder.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. I felt arms go around my neck and noticed Demi had turned around.

She buried her head into the crook of my neck and put her lips up to my ear.

"Don't you ever do that to me again, understand?" Her voice was soft and warning at the same time, I quickly understood her double meaning.

I squeezed her waist tighter and nodded.

"I'm sorry"

I cuddled into Demi's chest as she rubbed my back.

Everyone else in the house was already down and asleep, it was only me and Demi awake.

She told me she'd let me stay home from school for a few days, so me and her could have some real time together just to talk, but I still grounded.

No phone. No computer. No TV.

Practically my whole life. Taken away from me for an entire week.

"You know I love you, right?" Demi broke me from my thoughts.

"Hmm," I hummed.

"I can see past the disorder and all of that you know. You're a smart and beautiful and sweet girl, Sam. I love you and Ari just as much as my own kids."

I smiled widely and stared to drift off into a deep sleep.
