CAIDEN'S POV

I woke up when I heard a loud scream from my wife. Shit! What's happening? I hold her hand and cupped her face. "Why are you crying?" I asked. I roved my eyes in our clock and the current time is 1:00 in the morning.

Bumalik ang mga tingin ko kay Zoe. My heart squeezed as I saw her bloated eyes in red. "I want fresh durian from Davao..." she replied in a soft tuned voice.

I shook my head instantly. Hell no! I hate the smell of Durian! I always puke every time I smelled it. Having a durian in our home is totally disgusting! Masakit pa ang ulo ko ngayon pero mukhang mas lalala ang sakit kapag naghanap na ako ng durian.

My wife touched her belly. She's four months pregnant now. By this time of pregnancy, our baby is fully formed. My baby has arms, hands, fingers, feet, and toes and can open and close its fists and mouth. Fingernails and toenails are beginning to develop and the external ears are formed. The beginnings of teeth are forming. As our Ob-Gyn said, our baby's reproductive organs also develop, but the baby's gender is difficult to distinguish on ultrasound as early as now.

I'm fvcking eagerly wanted to know the gender of our baby that's why as early as 10 weeks, Zoe took the NIPT procedure. I knew this test from King. Some people find out their baby's sex through noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT). This is a blood test that can detect Down syndrome and a few other chromosomal conditions at 10 weeks of pregnancy or later. It also looks for pieces of the male sex chromosome in the expectant mother's blood to see if she's carrying a boy or a girl.

From the final result of NIPT, my baby is a girl!

My wife looked very happy from the news but I insisted her to take another test to know exactly our baby's gender in her 12 weeks of pregnancy. Baka kasi masyado pang maaga kaya siguro hindi tama ang resulta ng naunang procedure. My baby is a boy, not a girl!

When Zoe's in 12 weeks of pregnancy she took CVS test. The Chorionic villus sampling is a prenatal test that diagnoses chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome, as well as a host of other genetic disorders. Ayaw niya na sana pero ginawa niya pa rin dahil masyado akong mapilit. Patutunayan niya raw na babae talaga ang anak namin.

Our Ob-Gyn explained that the doctor will take cells from tiny fingerlike projections on placenta called the chorionic villi and sends them to a lab for genetic analysis. We got the result and... the baby is a boy!

Zoe got mad at me. She told me that I manipulated the result of the test. That's a big no! Well, any gender is okay with her but for me... I want a boy! I really like a little Caiden when I realized that I need a son. A growing boy that is willing to protect his Mom... to protect the family if I'm not around. I want a son because I want to teach him in his early stage the right thing to do. I want to train him while enjoying his childhood memories. I want him to grow in a good way having and carrying the positive vibes of life.

Nawala ako sa wisyo nang sampalin ako ni Zoe. "What now!" she shouted.

She still wants that fvcking durian as soon as possible! What should I do? Her flushed face showed forcefully to me as I thinking for the possible solution of this problem. Yeah, this is a big problem to me.

She started to crave in assorted foods in her first trimester. That uncontrollable urge to eat one very specific food is something almost every pregnant lady is familiar with. But I didn't know that their taste buds are annoying!

Zoe experienced insatiable hunger at 1 or 2 in the morning for something salty or sweet or even totally absurd. One day she woke up with a burning desire for a Chipotle burrito. When I bought it, she refused to eat it because she wants an ice-cold root beer ice cream. I almost spend my entire day finding the root beer ice cream around but the heck! I found one somewhere in Baler, Aurora!
