Smackdown

Back again that Thursday felt like a normal day as we waited around the locker room. I had a match coming up against Charlotte for my title and I was nervous. I knew her dad for a while before he retired and if she was anything like him I was in for a fight. My hands were taped and for once I had a long sleeved shirt on. I was pressed against the wall, knuckles pressed hard. I closed my eyes, breathing deep as I felt someone come up next to me. Opening my eyes I saw the pale blue ones staring at me and I relaxed. We were slowly getting back to where we were before but it was hard.

"You want to know how I get to 'that' place?" he whispered, catching my attention instantly, "You gotta go without fear. Go into that ring like it's the last time you'll ever step foot in it. You'll feel the primal instinct to survive kick in."

I nodded, letting him know I understood what he was talking about. We hadn't dared talk about the Moxley situation and this was the first he brought it up. I thought about what he said and I closed my eyes sinking to the floor. Clearing my head I let everything flow out. I heard Seth clear his throat and I knew it was time. Getting to my feet I opened my eyes, facing the three men. Cracking my neck I gazed at the three of them, holding my fist out.

"Believe in the Shield." I said firmly, voice strong.

They all put their fists in and I walked out, heading to the match with a new mindset. Bouncing I grinned, readying myself to go out and keep my title which was around my waist.

After Match

I was on my knees, a crazy grin stretched across my face as I raised my title, Charlotte having taken off after I beat her. Going into this match was different and it seemed like I was a little more desperate and on the edge. If you will I was a little more like Dean and I liked it. I was about to leave the ring when I heard their music start. Letting out a laugh I shook my head, realizing I should have known they would come when I wasn't protected. Staggering to my feet I saw Kane, Randy and Batista making their way down quickly, walking into the ring. I got to my feet, wanting to face them head on and not on my knees. I was tired but I could feel my adrenaline start up. Kane had a mic in his hand as he glared at me, eyes malicious.

"So fortunate to find you here alone Lila. Just our luck." He mused, coming to stand in front of me.

I walked back to the ropes, my back to the time keepers area. Holding out a hand I felt someone put a mic in it. Holding my title on my shoulder I kept my gaze locked on the three of them, Randy looking slightly uncomfortable. Hopefully I could keep them talking to give the boys time to get here. I wasn't going to be able to pull of my stunt from RAW this time.

"Just your luck huh? Why do I have a strange feeling you make your own luck?" I asked, the crowd booing as Kane laughed.

"You were never a slow one Lila I will give you that." He nodded, facing me again, rubbing his face.

"That makes one of us." I shrugged, watching his smile drop.

"You know I would love to know where you get the bravery, the audacity to come into this ring and attack us." He questioned, taking a step closer, "Why you choose to protect those who aren't protecting you at the moment?"

I stared back at him, jaw clenched as he tilted his head at me. I shifted my title before raising my mic again, "I've never been afraid of you. Or you. Or you." I pointed to each of them, quickly glancing to the stairs, "As for being protected I never needed it."

"Is that why you keep looking to the stairs?" he shot back and I forced myself not to tense up, "Well I've got a little announcement to make about that."
