Phil jumped down and helped Paige out of the ring. I rolled into my knees, bent over and clutching my ribs. They didn't hurt enough to be a break but I knew I had severely bruised them. I felt footsteps next to me and a voice near my ear.
"Can you stand?" Dean asked, a hand resting on my back.
"I'm not sure." I mumbled, bringing my free hand up to pull the hair from my face.
Carefully Dean threw my free arm around his neck, gently pulling me to my feet. I winced as I straightened, breathing a little easier. I grinned as I heard the chants of 'Lila' floating around the arena. I slipped my arm off Dean's shoulder as he grabbed my wrist, raising it up. I didn't like him but I had won against Paige and that was good enough for me. Taking a step towards the ropes I winced as my ribs pulled again. Seth held the ropes as I slipped through, groaning through gritted teeth. Instead of walking through the audience Dean held me up as I made my way to the ramp. Jeff and Matt had identical looks of worry on their faces and I shot them a pain filled smile, trying to reassure them. I leaned heavily on the man at my side as my music played. Turning I raised a hand, flashing Jeff's hand sign and the crowd went nuts. Heading behind the curtain I let my smile drop and I held onto Dean's shoulder. He was slightly sweaty but then again so was i.
"We should get you to medical. I can clean scratches but I think this is beyond me." He spoke, his raspy voice loud in the sudden quiet.
"I think so too." I agreed, hand pressed against my side.
"All in all that was a crazy move." He commented, walking slow to accommodate me.
"Moonsault .I've always been a high flyer." I explained, gritting my teeth.
"Look by the time we get there your ribs will have healed. This will hurt but we'll get there faster." He sighed, stopping suddenly.
He brought a hand under my legs, scooping me up quickly but gently. It jostled my ribs and I let out a loud groan. He began walking briskly towards the medical room. We passed the Diva's locker and Nikki ran out when she saw us pass by. Her face was slack with shock and I shot her a look that said 'I'll tell you later'. He moved fast but smooth and I barely had any pain and we made it to the medical room quickly. Knocking with his foot he waited as the door opened.
"Hey I was watching. Bring her in." Dr. Mitchell informed, pointing to a bed.
I pursed my lips slightly as Dean set me down gently on the bed, doing his best not to jostle me. The doctor came stood in front of me, stethoscope around his neck. Dean stood off to the side, arms crossed over his chest.
"We always get the ribs here. It's a common injury." He informed me, pressing the stethoscope against my ribs," Breathe in please and then out."
I took a deep breath, feeling an ache but not much else. He listened intently before pulling on some gloves. My hands were clenched around the bed and I threw Dean a pleading glance, him being the only other person in the room.
"What?" he asked, staring at me.
I didn't want to ask so I just held out my hand, eyes pleading with him. It took him a second to realize and he walked over, sitting on the edge of the bed, taking my hand in his. I held it tight as the doctor pressed against the tender spot and I winced.
"Ow fuck!" I exclaimed, instantly turning red, "I'm sorry."
"I've heard worse trust me on that." He chuckled, continuing his prodding.
