I was bouncing in my seat, wanting to dance. Seth looked over at me, seeing me bouncing around. He drained his glass and stood up, leaving his hat on the table. Coming to stand slightly unsteadily in front of me he held out his hand.
"Come on." He grinned, his smile a little lopsided.
"Do you think that's a good idea?" Dean commented, glancing at Seth's offered hand.
"I'm going with Seth, what could happen?" I argued, seeing him shrug and knowing I won.
Putting my hat down and my night stick I put my hand in his, letting him lead me to the dance floor. The beat was fast and we walked out into the crowd of people. I saw Brie and Nikki dancing with Daniel and John and they waved. We stood close by them, choosing to be away from AJ and Phil's booth. He took my hand and we were dancing, moving as best we could to the beat. He spun me around and I spun him back, laughing at his over exaggerated dance moves. He grabbed my other hand, raising them up, bringing up closer together. I laughed, letting my hand drop to his shoulders, moving with him to the beat. It was easy to let loose with Seth, he kept everything so mellow and I was having a good time. I made the mistake of looking over his shoulder seeing Phil glaring at us. Looking away I brushed my hair away from my face, feeling my sweaty forehead. We kept dancing, keeping my gaze strictly away from Phil. After a couple songs I was getting tired, Seth keeping me moving constantly. Pushing my sweaty hair from my forehead I watched Seth do the same, sweat making his skin shine.
"I gotta go to the bathroom." I shouted over the music, pointing behind me, feeling slightly woozy.
"Do you want me to come with you?" he asked, hand resting on my waist.
"To the bathroom?" I laughed, sucking my bottom lip between my teeth, "I don't think so."
"Ok well be careful, I'll meet you back by the table." He frowned and I nodded, walking away.
Stumbling slightly I made my way to the bathroom, pushing the door open. The booming music was dulled and I was thankful, suddenly realizing how drunk I really was. All the dancing had really made the alcohol kick in and I splashed water on my cheeks and neck, cooling myself down. Leaning my head against the cool glass I breathed in and out, trying to sober up. Not sensing any change I gave up walking out of the bathroom, stumbling only a little. As I tripped a pair of hands grabbed me and immediately I grabbed a pair of forearms, steadying myself. Looking up I was met with a pair of chocolate brown eyes and I frowned.
"What do you want?" I asked, letting go of his arms.
"I just want to talk." Phil pleaded, eyes begging.
"We don't really have anything to talk about." I shrugged, feeling like I was walking through molasses.
"You look so gorgeous Lila. I miss you so much." He murmured and I closed my eyes, not wanting to deal with this.
"I didn't choose this you know." I sighed, head tilting back, looking up at him, "You brought it on yourself."
"I know I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He apologized, bringing his hand up, holding my face gently, "I love you Lila."
I was so out of it and his hand was warm against my already warm face. He brought his other hand up, holding my face between his palms, thumbs brushing my cheeks. I shook my head, not finding to words I wanted to say.
"Don't. It's too late." I mumbled, putting my hand against his chest.
"It's not. Lila please, I love you. You look so beautiful." He murmured, pressing his forehead against mine, gently pressing me back against the wall.
