Chapter 82 We Are The Shield

. I watched as Kane walked out, only trousers and elbow guards on, flanked by the New Age Outlaws. Evolution stepped back, grinning at their back up and I saw Kane staring at me. Dean rolled onto his stomach glancing up and seeing them.

"Seth!" he shouted, catching the man's attention, "Get the hell out of this ring and get to Lila! Now!"

We both heard the urgency in his voice and Seth rolled out before anyone could stop him, leaving Dean and Roman in the ring, getting unsteadily to their feet. Seth dropped to his feet, coming to grab me, pulling me behind him as Kane and NAO came to stand with Evolution. I grabbed Seth's arm, pulling him to face me, eyes wide in my pale face.

"You can't leave them in there against the 6 of them!" I argued, seeing the panic in his own eyes, "I can handle myself."

"Lila they have it in for you. We leave you un-guarded out here and this is the first place they come." He shook his head, hand against my waist.

I couldn't argue with that, knowing he was right and I watched with horrified anticipation as they faced all six men, looking exhausted already. Kane was grinning at me, Seth standing slightly in front of me, an arm stretched out in front of me. Suddenly they attacked, Dean and Roman doing their best to fight back but were quickly outnumbered and I could feel the tension running through Seth. Turning I unhooked my title from around my waist, leaving it at commentary as I grabbed a chair. Seth noticed I was gone and whirled around seeing me walking towards the ring with a chair in my hands.

"Lila stop!" he shouted, grabbing the chair, "You can't go in there."

"You're gonna stop me? From saving Dean and Roman from those animals?" I snarled, shaking with adrenaline, "We are Shield! We do not leave them in the damn ring while we hide out here!"

I grabbed him by the vest, yanking him down to my level, staring at him. We made about 3 seconds of eye contact before I saw the anticipation enter his eyes, pupils dilating. Letting go of each other we slid into the ring, the chair in my hand as I surveyed the scene. Hunter, Kane and Batista were all ganged up on Roman and I knew that was where I was heading. Randy and the NAO were on Dean but Seth was there, yanking them off. Twirling the chair in my hand I brought it up, bringing it across Hunter and Batista's back, making them drop, howling in pain. Kane turned and saw me, fury filling his face. Seth had dropped Randy and saw me in a stare down with Kane. Roman had pushed Hunter out of the ring, using what little strength he had. I had no fear as I faced him, seeing him flexing his hands. He moved and I brought the edge of the chair into his stomach, making him bend over at the waist. Throwing the chair to Seth he caught it as I turned jumping on the rope and twisted in the air, bringing my foot to the side of his head. Dean was lying on the mat, breathing heavily as Seth took on the NAO. Roman was beating Hunter and I got up, turning and running right into Randy. I froze, tilting my head up slowly, meeting his blue eyes. He looked just as shocked as I did, the crowd erupting into shocked noise. Suddenly he took a step back, shaking his head rapidly.

"I can't fight you. I won't." he said, rolling out, going to help Hunter up.

I didn't know what to do, so I looked over seeing Roman spearing Batista, rolling onto his back, eyes closed. Seth had one member of NAO against the ropes and I ran at him, dropkicking him over the ropes. Landing on my side, I glanced at Dean who still hadn't moved, arms spread out on the mat. Seth had taken care of the other one and glanced around for me seeing me on the ground, worry instantly on his face. I shook my head, getting on my knees and scrambling towards Dean. Seth went to check on Roman as the 6 men and Steph walked up the ramp, holding onto each other. They looked furious but I ignored them, making it next to Dean. My hands fluttered uselessly over his chest before coming to rest on top of them. Without warning he had me by the shoulders, pushing me down on the mat, kneeling at my side. His whole face was angry and I knew he was close to being over the edge.
