The ref grabbed my hand, raising it in the air. I raised the title in my other one with a grin on my face. My victory was short lived as there was an explosion of music. The screen turned red and with a shiver of slight fear I realized it was Kane. He walked out in his business suit and everyone scrambled from the ring but me. I stared at him as he made his way into the ring. A mic was pressed into my hand and he was handed one before the ref ran for it. My fight or flight response kicked in but only the fight one was present at the moment. I really did have more bravery then sense I thought bitterly.

"Lila why won't you just give up?" he groaned, standing in front of me, "How much more are we going to have to put you through for you to realize you can't win? You're not going to win here. The Authority is the highest power in this company and not even you are above that."

"You can't not be lower than dirt Kane." I quipped, tilting my head slightly, a grin on my face. "It's not too hard to be above scheming manipulative life ruiners."

"You are forcing our hand here Lila and we don't want to do this." He shook his head at me, "The kind of consequences you're facing can only belong in this ring."

"Do you see me shaking Kane? Do I look afraid? Even after you threw me through a table. "I growled, taking a step closer, "I'm still standing here. Even after you and The Authority pushed me and Punk apart I'm still standing here. The only way the Authority will get to me to back down is if you put me on a stretcher. Again."

The crowd erupted and I kept my gaze on him, hand holding my title at my side. He chuckled, walking slowly around the ring, hand rubbing his chin. I saw the menace in his eyes and I narrowed mine, jaw clenched.

"I was afraid you might try to pull something like this." He sighed, stepping back, dropping the mic to his side.

He tilted his head, eyes focused on mine as I stood there. I frowned slightly not sure what he was doing. I walked to my right slightly, almost in the corner when I heard it.

Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta. Shield...

I didn't dare turn and look if they were coming but by the sounds of the crowds booing I knew they were. The time had finally come. The Authority finally had enough and was sending them in to finish the job. This is what Seth and I had worried about constantly and I closed my eyes slowly. I drank in the crowds energy, preparing myself for what I was about to go through. Stepping away from the ropes, Kane moved behind me, standing in the corner. When I opened my eyes and turned to him he had a smile on his face, taking off his jacket. I felt them on the apron but I still couldn't face them. The crowd was outraged and I gave a small smile to Kane, a cocky look in my eyes. He stripped off his tie as I felt a fist in my hair. Closing my eyes they threw me into the corner and I saw Seth, a hard look in his eyes. Dean looked more unstable than usual, pacing frantically and Roman's eyes were dark, stormy almost. Kane looked almost surprised as I stood facing them in the corner, head held high.

"Did you think I would run from this?" I asked, a laugh slipping out, "Not this time. I knew this was coming Kane, come on. Sending my old friend and his little group after me? Bring it on." I raised an eyebrow, throwing my title out of the ring.

"Now we've known each other for years Lila and I know I can't lay a hand on you again but I found an easier solution. I guess I should ask you if there's anything else you would like to say." Kane asked, staring at me from the opposite corner, handing his mic to Seth who came and stood closest to me.

"Well since you mentioned it and since I have a feeling I'll be sucking my meals through a straw for the next two months." I sighed theatrically, watching his anger rise, "You're an egotistical, washed up, big for nothing scumbag who hides behind a suit because he knows he has nothing left to offer this company." I finished quietly, steel in my voice as I threw the mic over my shoulder.
