Chapter 14 Cab Confessions

   I took off down the hall at a fast pace, rounding corners until I came to the hall with cameras. Renee was looking flustered and as she saw me she relaxed, motioning to the cameraman.

"Ladies and gentleman please welcome my guest at this time, Lila."

I walked into frame an ecstatic grin on my face. I showed my left side, hiding the scratches on my right arm from the fight earlier.

"So Lila I'm guessing you must have seen the interview we did with Paige earlier. You were amazing out there and the crowd seems to agree with us." She smiled, her words getting the crowd riled up all over again.

"I think it's hilarious that Paige thinks of myself as a, what did she say, a B list wrestler? I highly doubt she'll be opening her mouth about me again. I worked my ass off to be the Diva's Champ not once, not twice but three times and if I have it my way it'll be the 4 time champ." I smirked, hands on my hips.

"That's the exact kind of attitude we want to hear from you." A voice came out from behind me and the cameras backed up to get them in the shot.

Hunter was standing next to Steph who was watching me with a grin on her face. I turned slightly, adjusting my shoulder so it was covered better.

"Oh hey guys." I smiled, feeling a little confused.

"We watched your match earlier and you were amazing!" Hunter complimented, "You're still the WWE's Wild Card and we want to help you get to the top."

"So on that note we have a proposal for you." Steph announced, glancing at her husband with a happy smile.

Renee was waiting with bated breath as Hunter and Steph glanced at me. My hands were on my hips as I stood in front of them.

"As you know we have one of the greatest groups in this Division and if they had a woman on their team they would be unstoppable." Steph announced, as the crowd started booing "So we think you joining Shield would be the best for business."

I knew instantly who they were talking about and I felt my face harden. They waited on my response. My breath was picking up in my chest and it took everything in me not to explode.

"No."

"Excuse me?" Steph gasped.

"No I won't do it" I shook my head, hearing the arena explode into applause.

"Lila you could go to the top with them. They are the most dominant force since Evolution." Hunter persuaded, hands clasped in front of him.

"Steph you know exactly how I feel about The Shield. You know my relationship with Roman Reigns and you still ask me that?" I growled, hands still on my hips, "My answer is and always will be no."

"Lila I know you've been gone awhile but I'm sure you remember that you don't cross the Authority without consequences." Steph stepped up to me, in my face.

"Call the dogs than Stephanie. I'll be waiting." I said venomously, staring her down before turning and walking away.

I headed down the hall, making my way to the Diva's locker room. Nikki and Brie were the only ones in there. Sitting next to them I pulled my hair from my face, putting it in a bun on the top of my head.

"Stephanie's an idiot." Nikki finally broke the silence.

"As if you would ever join Shield." Brie piped in, sitting on the other side of me.
