Friday Evening
The only thing I hated about being in the Shield bus was sharing the bathroom. Dean and Roman were getting dressed and Seth was in the shower while I curled my hair at the mirror.
"You know I know you think of me as one of the guys but this is getting a little ridiculous." I murmured, applying my mascara, finishing my makeup.
"You wanted to shower first. You should've realized you needed them mirror before we went in for ours." Seth shouted back over the water hitting the floor.
"I have the longest hair here. It takes time to get it to look the way it does." I argued, throwing it over my shoulder, tugging the towel closer around me.
"Sure whatever you say. Throw me my towel will you?" he asked, the water shutting off.
Snatching his towel from the rack I threw it over the top, glancing at his shadow in the glass. I couldn't see anything but I still looked away quickly. The door slid open and he walked out, towel around his waist, dripping wet. I quickly fixed my hair before moving over. Grabbing my toothbrush I started scrubbing sitting on the toilet.
"Are you dressing up?" I asked Seth, brush sticking out from the side of my mouth.
"You'll have to wait and see." He winked, putting some gel in his hair, slicking it back and leaving it down.
"Cheap." I shot back, leaning over the sink, hip to hip with Seth.
"We look ready to go. We could go as the towel people." Seth grinned, throwing an arm over my shoulder.
I laughed, holding his shoulder. Grabbing my phone I held it up, leaning my head on his shoulder as I snapped a picture. We looked ridiculous, only dressed in towels but it was one of our best ones yet. Rinsing my mouth I left the bathroom, squeezing past Roman who had his jacket on, hiding his costume. Slipping into his room I pulled out the bag I stashed my shit in. I pulled on the skirt, barely covering anything but looking super cute. Then a black bandeau with straps, and the shirt which only came to above my navel. Pinning on the badge I pulled on the gloves, fastening to snaps before shoving my feet into the over the knee black wedge velvet boots. Everything was the dark blue of a police officer and I grinned, putting the handcuffs and beat stick on my belt on the skirt. Digging through my closet I found my mid-thigh white trench coat and did it up. I hid my police hat in my bag as I walked out. Seth was covered up and ready to go the same time I was and we all met in the living room. Each of us was covered up, no parts of our costume was showing and I laughed.
"We are children. NO peeking at the costume till we get there." I pointed out, my bag over my shoulder.
"It's part of Halloween. IT's the fun of it." Seth grinned, zipping up to his neck.
"Come on let's go then. I wanna see what you guys are." I grinned, walking to the front of the bus and walking out.
It was pretty cool and I was glad when we piled into the limo that was waiting for us. I could feel the excitement rising in me as I sat next to Seth and Dean, Roman sitting across from us, popping open the champagne. I shrieked with laughter as the cork flew off and he poured us all a glass. Taking mine in my hand I raised it, looking fondly at the three guys in the vehicle with me.
"To family." I bit my lip, looking at each of them in turn.
"TO family." They chorused as we clinked glasses, draining mine in an instant.
