Same night RV.

I glanced at my phone for what felt like the thousandth time in 15 minutes. It was nearly 12 at night and Phil still wasn't back. I had sent him numerous texts and he didn't reply to any. I knew he was in his hometown but he had promised to be back by 10 saying he just wanted to visit his parents and pick up a few things. When I tried calling there was no answer, just going straight to voicemail. Tucking my feet up I stared at the TV, not watching it but needing the noise. Suddenly the RV door opened and I jumped to my feet.

"Phil?" I called out, taking a step towards the bus.

"No it's Nikki. You weren't answering my texts and I got scared, What's going on?" she asked, dressed super casual in sweats and what I assumed was John's wife beater.

"It's Phil." I admitted, my voice shaking slightly with worry.

"What happened?" she gasped, walking into the RV fully.

"He was supposed to be back by 10. He said he only wanted to see his parents and grab some stuff but he isn't back yet. He's not answering his texts and his phone is going to voicemail." I explained, pushing my hair back.

"Do you know where he might be?" she mumbled, sitting on the table, grabbing my hand.

"I have no idea. I know he has a house here but we didn't go there. We were going to do that tomorrow, well today. I have no idea where his parents are either." I whispered, her touch nearly undoing me.

"What do you want to do?" she asked, eyes wide.

"I don't know. What can I do?" I scoffed, pressing my hand against my forehead.

"Oh Lila I'm sorry. I don't know what to do to help you." She moaned, jumping off, wrapping me in a hug. "Do you want me to call John?"

"No. He'll just worry. Just go get some sleep. I'll keep you posted anyways." I smiled weakly, squeezing her shoulders.

"Are you sure? I can call John and tell him were having a girls night or something." She offered, holding up her phone.

"No I'm just gonna sit up for a while and wait. I'll be ok." I reassured, walking her to the door.

"Ok please text me when he's back. I'm worried too."

"I will I promise."

Nikki threw me one last small smile before she walked out. I let the smile drop before covering my face with my hand. Sitting back on the couch I decided to give him one more hour before I was going to look for him. The minute hand dragged on and my leg was twitching. I was drumming my fingers on the table till they were aching. One o'clock hit and I grabbed my phone and sweater. I was wearing yoga pants with a white v neck t-shirt. Grabbing the keys from the front I walked out, locking the door. Phil had his own set so I knew he wouldn't be locked out. My hair was wild from running my hands through it. I had no idea where to go so I started walking towards the road. There was someone coming towards me and I realized this was kind of dangerous. I hated walking around in unfamiliar cities at night but I was too worried to sleep. Keeping my head down as the person got closer I sped up, hoping to pass them. Suddenly I realized it might be Phil and I looked up. Groaning I saw the copper hair and leather jacket in the street lights. Ducking my head I hoped he didn't recognize me.

"Lila?" his voice called out as I passed him.

I kept walking, hearing him stop. I knew he recognized me, my hair a dead giveaway.
