I did it
I was able to take
Everyone who hurt me
This year
2016
And gave them my
Forgiveness
Don't get me wrong
It's not for them
Not the self-righteous
In the world
But for me
For my soul
To go forth
Into 2017
Leaving behind
Those who left me
It means
Those that love me
I can return fully
And more so
Now that my soul
Is freed up
From hurt
Frustration
Anger
Or any other negativity
That took even a portion of
My heart
Forgiveness is so worth it
The path to healing
Is important
So I have done it
And I let you go
In peace and with G-d
Float away
Away
