This was my nature safety net
And than they closed
Reconstruction
For 5 whole years
Until today
2017
I got to walk through the park
Again
Rediscover the old
Find the new
Mourn what's been replaced
Park reborn
Only open on weekends now
10am-4pm
But much is still the same
The sounds
Smells
Colors
Nature
Took 80 photos

As often as I can
So many poems were written there
Problems solved
Spirit reenergized
Discoveries made
I've returned to my
Park reborn
And though we've both changed
In 5 years
The peace is very palpable
Excited to add another layer
To walking forward to the beginning
