Thingol and Gilornel were now twenty years old, however they appeared to be seven years old. Thingol had my silver hair and Thorin's blue eyes, while Gilornel had Thorin's raven long black hair and my gray eyes. Mîlel was very close to being an adult, she had grown very much, and became rather beautiful.

Elrond told me everything about the Middle Earth, including the different places. Instead of viewing Elrond as a nephew or son, I viewed him more like a brother, especially now when I didn't have Nanor with me. I told Elrond my entire past, and what happened between Nanor and me. I even told him about Thorin and me. Elrond assured me that Nanor truly loved me, and that all he needed was some space.

I got along with the majority of the elves and for a while I felt like I was home, but it felt empty without Thorin. It had been a while since I've visited the Shire and I wanted Thingol and Gilornel to see it for the very first time. After convincing Elrond that I was able to go on my own with the children, he allowed me to go.

"But return as soon as possible." He advised me.

"Of course, don't worry. I'll be fine."

"Wait, before you go, I wish to return something of yours." Elrond said before pulling out the golden shell necklace. "Before she fled from the Ñoldor, she gave me this necklace. She told me that you had given her this necklace, and it gave her so much hope that she was able to go on despite everything that happened."

Tears formed in my eyes as I took my necklace back. "I'm happy that it helped her."

"Go, I've seen how you've been acting lately. You need a change of scenery, it'll do you good." He commented.

"I hope you're right, I'll be back soon."

With that Mîlel, Thingol, Gilornel, and I rode our horses towards the Shire. After what seemed like forever, we arrived in the Shire. It was just as beautiful when I first saw this place.

The children scurried towards us and followed us as we travelled deeper into the Shire. I allowed all the flowers around the children, causing them to cheer and giggle. I had discovered that Lavender had a younger sister, Laura. I remembered when she first saw me, she was very shy. Laura was now around the age of nine, while Lavender was still not an adult by hobbit terms, which I learned while spending time here.

We arrived near the hobbit hole of the Grubb family, when I heard. "Líreth!"

I turned to see Laura running towards me with Lavender not too far behind. I kneeled and opened my arms, receiving their embrace.

"You came back!" Laura exclaimed.

"I said I would come back, didn't I?" I asked.

"It's good to see you again." Lavender chimed in. Her eyes then met Mîlel's and she gasped. "Mîlel? Is that you? You've grown so much!"

Mîlel chuckled. "It is. And so have you grown as well, Lavender."

"Who are they?" Laura asked with a curious look.

"Ah, this is Thingol, and this is Gilornel. They are my children." I introduced. "Thingol, Gilornel, this is Lavender and Laura Grubb."

It didn't take them long until Laura, Thingol, and Gilornel scurried off, playing around near the hobbit hole. Meanwhile, Lavender, Mîlel, and I sat outside the hobbit hole on a bench. Lavender sat on a hobbit sized bench, while Mîlel and I sat on a bench our size. Laura's and Lavender's father built a bench for us so we could use it whenever we visited them.
