We walked through the halls to find the company and nephews happy to see us. They all surrounded us, and hugged us. I didn't understand what was going on until Gilornel, Thingol, Kyra, and Mîlel raced towards me.

"Nana." Thingol said with a horrified look.

"What is it?"

"It's ada. He's been looking for you for days." Gilornel explained.

"He thinks you've left us." Mîlel added.

I violently shook my head. "That's not true. I would never. Where is he now?"

"In the throne room, lass." Balin chimed in. "But please, be careful."

"I will, don't worry." I assured him.

So I left the others before walking to the throne room by myself. When I entered, I saw him pacing back and forth with his fists clenched at his sides. I took a deep breath before approaching him. "Thorin?"

Thorin whipped around with a furious expression on his face, causing me to shrink back. Despite me being much taller, his face was rather intimidating. He violently grabbed my arm. "Where have you been?"

"I was with Nanor, we had to rescue Gandalf from Dol Guldur." I explained. "He was in trouble, we had to help him."

His grip tightened around my arm, causing me to wince. My strength had recovered, but that didn't mean I was a hundred percent. "Do you take me as a fool?"

I violently shook my head. "No, nîn meleth. I'm saying the truth."

"Lies!" He spat. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you had another lover."

"Thorin, nîn meleth, you know that's not true!" I argued. "You're the only one I'd have eyes for. I've waited for you to return for years."

For a moment I thought I saw the old Thorin, however he shook his head as he dragged me through the halls.

"Your words mean nothing, elf scum!"

We then arrived at what appeared to be the dungeons. Tears streamed down my cheeks before Thorin shoved me in. He then locked the door before I could escape. Never had he said such harsh words like that to me since we had fallen in love.

"Thorin!" I cried. "Please snap out of it! This isn't you!"

"Yell all you want, elf!" Thorin sneered. "I still won't free you."

With that I sensed him walk away, leaving me alone to cry and weep. The sickness has taken over, he's not the same. That's when I remembered Thorin's and my conversation that night after we were saved by the eagles.

"Thorin, I believe in you, and I believe you will defeat this sickness." I assured him as I placed a hand on his cheek.

"But what if I harm or one of our children, or even you? I could never forgive myself." He said. "You and our children are the light of my life. I refuse to lose any of you, you're far more precious than any of the gold or gems that lie in that mountain."

"Then prove it to us, when the time arrives fight it." I replied. "You're strong, nîn meleth. I believe in you, we all do or we would've never followed you this far."
