~June, 2801 T.A.~
A year had gone by and my feelings for Thorin would not leave. On the contrary, they only grew, and it wasn't until I spoke with Dís that I knew what I was feeling. I still remember the conversation.

"I think there's something wrong with me." I confessed.

"Why do you say that, lass?" Dís inquired.

"There are these feelings I have towards Thorin, and they only grow stronger." I explained.

She then cracked a smile. "Mahal! Líreth do you realize what you're feeling?"

I shook my head. "Don't say it."

"Look Thorin's coming!" She exclaimed.

"Where?!" I asked with a huge grin.

She burst out laughing and my grin faded into a scowl. At this she quickly stopped laughing. "Alright, I'm sorry, but don't you get it? You're in love, Líreth, you're in love with my brother."

"That can't be!"

"Don't deny it, you're in love with Thorin."

I couldn't believe I had fallen in love and for the very first time. My heart broke a little, knowing that Thorin would never love me, an elf. I shook away those thoughts as I changed into a beautiful light blue dress with a golden circlet on my head. Some of my silver hair was pulled back in braids, leaving the rest to rest around my shoulders. There was a knocked on my door as soon as I finished. "Enter."

Mîlel then entered, wearing a beautiful forest green dress. No doubt that Nemirel found a dress that would fit her in her closet.

"You look beautiful, Mîlel."

She smiled. "Thank you, Nemirel said I could have it. She said it was her daughter's dress."

I nodded. "We unfortunately lost her."

"I'm sorry. You look pretty as well." She said, changing the subject.

"Thank you, henig. Now come, the others must be waiting on us."

Today there was a festival to celebrate the beginning of summer. The village all participated, and there's a lot of food, dancing, music, and other fun things. Mîlel and I walked in the living room to find Dís, Balin, and Thorin all ready.

Dís was dressed in a beautiful purple dress with her hair pulled back. Balin wore a brown tunic with blank pants and a coat with boots. Lastly, Thorin wore a dark blue tunic with black pants, his black boots, and a simple belt. His long raven black hair was neatly combed and braided. His eyes widened when he saw me. "You look amazing."

I wore a sheepish smile. "Thanks. You don't look half bad, yourself."

Thorin and I held each other's gaze until Dís cleared her throat. "I think we should get going."

"Right you are, lassie. I'd hate to miss the chance to see this festival." Balin chimed in.

We then all walked towards the middle of the village where it was filled with decorations and alive from the festival. The sun was setting in the horizon. There were lanterns hung around the shops and homes, flowers blossomed all over the village, and decorations all over the place.
