At the beginning of your relationship Martijn was really shy and didn't talk much about himself since he didn't want to give an impression of a self centered person and he also didn't want to stutter while talking to you. Hence, his friends were always around to help him overcome his shyness; even though they embarrassed him most of the time more than helped him, by telling you funny stories about his childhood and later about his DJing experiences. Sometimes he would just glare at them or throw something at them, but sometimes he would shut them up by saying something in Dutch which you barely understood. You would just laugh at him and admire his by then already crimson red cheeks.
