It's the morning the boys and I have been waiting for, for exactly a month now. It's time to test if the animagus process worked and to find out what we're going to become.
I race into the boys' dormitory, too enthusiastic to wait for them to wake up. "Wake up, everyone! Today's the day!" I exclaim, becoming more hyper by the millisecond.
Sirius runs his fingers through his hair, James snatches his glasses from the bedside table and the two simultaneously lift themselves off their beds.
I poke Peter's cheek and he awakens with a frantic yell. "It's the day of the process." I grin, this time speaking excitedly yet still in a whisper.
I drag the three of them down the stairs and we all stare blankly at one another, waiting for someone to give directions.
"I know we told Remus about this, but I still want him to be surprised at the same time. What if we do this alone, then somehow drag him outside and present him with our animal forms in a traditional manner." I explain, discreetly hushed.
"Sounds good to me." Peter shrugs.
"Okay, well, I guess we can take our leaves out of our mouths now." I say.
"Okay, on the count of three ... one ... two ... three." Sirius says, his hand getting closer and closer to his mouth. I hear the three boys sigh happily, as the horrific taste is now gone.
James and Peter face me and immediately, become confused.
Sirius on the other hand, knows what's wrong. "She used a spell to stick the leaf to her cheek and didn't get the spell to reverse it." He explains briefly.
"Why would you do that?!" James yells, frantically pulling at his hair.
"So I wouldn't have to worry about swallowing it ... Gosh James! Use your noggin." I roll my eyes playfully.
"Now is not the time to joke! What are we going to do?!" James continues screaming, as he paces the floor nervously.
"Relax, we'll just tell Professor Dumbledore and then he can reverse the jinx. No big deal." I reply nonchalantly.
"Yeah, great plan ..." James begins skeptically, before raising his voice again. "Until he asks why or worse- already know just by seeing through your body or something!"
"He can't see through my cheek." I smirk crossly.
"Well if he can see through Invisibility Cloaks, then what CAN'T he do?!"
"Fair point." I sigh.
"Then, wh- what should w- we do?" Peter stutters.
"There's got to be a spell to reverse it somewhere in a spell book in the library." Sirius concludes.
"We better hurry, I don't know how long it can stay in my mouth after a month for it to still work." I say, as we climb out of the common room.

After searching every book in the entire room, we all begin getting even more nervous.
"What If I go to Azkaban for this?! I don't want to go to Azkaban! Animagi need a licence, what if they chop off my hands?!" I begin brainstorming scenarios in my mind.
"They won't because no one will know." Sirius says, calming me down a little. "Do you know anyone, ANYONE at all, that would give us the answer we need, yet won't ask questions?" He asks me.
I think for a moment, before the answer strikes me like lightning. "Benjamin! He's smart, he might know." I smile.
"Great, find him." He orders, passing me the Marauders Map and my converse.

After scanning the map and finding my brother, I begin walking toward her. Obviously, I find him in the Ravenclaw common room.
I knock on the common room door, hoping someone will answer. Lucky for me, someone does and it's Benjamin. "Hey Benji! I need your help and you are the only one that can do the job without asking any questions."
"In that case, I don't want to know, therefore no questions will be asked." He smiles, before adding, "Except for this one; what do you need me to do?"
"Do you know the incantation to reverse this spell?" I pass him a ripped piece of parchment and he eyes the words written, then shrugs without hesitation. "Easy." He picks up his quill and scribbles on the back side of the parchment I gave him.
"Anything else?" He asks, a smile still playing across his lips.
"Nope, thanks!" I embrace him quickly, before dashing out the door.

"Remus, you sit right there under that tree." I gently usher him toward a large oak tree and he sits down on the ground.
James, Sirius, Peter and I rush away, leaving Remus to sit by his lonesome under the tree.
Suddenly, to his surprise and amusement, a deer walks up to him and jumps up proudly, before falling down. James hasn't quite grown into his four legs yet.
A black dog then runs over to the two with his tongue out happily. "What is going on here?" Remus chuckles.
A small rat trotters onto Remus's lap and squeaks quietly.
Finally, it's my cue to join the party. I run on my four paws and meet up with the rest of the 'animals' and Remus. "Oh Merlin!" Remus yells, as he spots me. "You guys ... no way!"
We all transform into our original human forms and burst into laughs.
"Allow me to guess your animal shapes." Remus grins widely. "The deer is James."
"Precisely." James smirks.
Remus proceeds, "The black dog is Sirius?" He questions.
"Right you are, Remy." Sirius says.
"Pete's a rat." Peter nods his head and blushes slightly.
"So that leaves Chiara as the little golden retriever." Remus grins at me proudly.
I slip back into my dog form and start happily chasing my tail in circles before transforming back into my human self and saying, "Wouldn't want to be anything else."
