Batman and the Joker had decided on a date to have their, well, date. It would be on a Friday at 6:30. They came up with all of this without even having to talk in person thanks to the magic of social media. Well, the big day finally arrived and they each approached it with wildly different ways. Joker woke up at 7:00 in the morning to work on his makeup and hair, while Batman woke up at noon and did nothing to prepare for the date. In fact, Alfred had to convince him to even wear a tie, which he resisted at the beginning as well. Besides, he didn't know how to tie a tie, so Alfred had to do it for him. This had happened before on other dates, and Bruce hated to admit it, but he kind of liked how much Alfred cared for him. Admittedly, this was Bruce's first date with his Batman mask on, but going as Bruce Wayne was far too risky.

Joker, on the other hand, knew fully well how to tie his own tie, and he was using his talent to his advantage. Since it was a special occasion, he wore a bow tie, while still wearing his usual purple coat. It had taken several hours just for him to get ready, so he felt like he was finally prepared to go out. Harley was there to send him off at the door. She looked very proud of her friend, and there were hints of tears in her eyes. She gave the Joker a strong hug before finally sending him off. The Joker already knew that Wayne Manor was where Batman lived, so he got in his Jokermobile and drove to the Manor. Sadly, he forgot that since it was an official residence, so he had to buzz himself in.

Wayne Manor, why are you visiting? asked the little speaker.

"This is the Joker, I'm here to pick up my boyfriend," Joker told the machine.

Joker? Oh yeah, I forgot, you two are an item apparently, the speaker replied.

The door to Wayne Manor opened and Joker drove right in. When he pulled up in front of the house, he wasn't sure if he was just supposed to wait for Batman to walk out or if he was actually supposed to get him at the front door. After a couple of minutes, Joker became fed up and walked up to the entrance and knocked on the door a couple of times. He was afraid that Bruce Wayne, Batman's roommate, would answer instead of Batman. Joker wondered if he had ever seen Batman and Bruce Wayne in the same room together. While he was thinking about this, Alfred answered the door. The Joker might've been crazy, but he saw a gentle smile on the butler's face.

"You must be this Joker fellow that I've been hearing so much about," Alfred said to the clown.

"Pft, I doubt that Batman talks about me that much. Speaking of which, where is he anyway?" Joker asked.

"He's just trying to find a good place to keep his cape. I've been telling him that it isn't proper attire for a date," Alfred answered, chuckling to himself.

"I was worrying about what to wear as well. I figured that I already dress pretty extravagantly," Joker added.

"I can see why people would believe that you and Batman are dating. You can be very charming when you want to be," Alfred told the Joker.

Joker had almost forgotten that this was all a lie. He had practically convinced himself that the two were dating. This would probably be the only date that he and Batman would ever go on, and he would have to keep that in mind. While Joker was dwelling on the reality of the situation, Batman finally walked out to the door. When the Joker saw him, everything that he had been thinking about flew right out of the window. Batman was wearing a suit. This was something that Joker had never thought that he'd see. As much as he hated to think about it, Batman looked absolutely amazing. The clown hadn't even noticed that his jaw had slightly dropped. Batman smirked and walked over to his fake boyfriend to close the open jaw.
