The small, ragtag group of villains completed their plan. It was way more complicated than it needed to be, but hey, there's the villains for you. The plan went something like this: Catwoman would hack into Joker's email to tell Bruce about the lightbulb situation. Meanwhile, Harley would go to Joker and over exaggerate the fact that he needed to fix the lightbulb. That way, Joker wouldn't be surprised when Bruce came over talking about lightbulbs. Poison Ivy would sit outside of Wayne Manor and grow a vine that grew around Bruce's computer so that he would instantly see the email. When he did, Ivy would also transport him there with plants.
After he arrived, Scarecrow would spray fear gas in everywhere except the closet, so he would go there quickly. On the other side of the house, penguins would come from nowhere in particular and peck Joker's legs until he joined Bruce in the toilet paper closet. When they got in there, Bane would use his brute strength to keep the door closed while Mr. Freeze would freeze the door close. Clayface would absorb all the laughing gas while Bruce and Joker had smoochy time. So, now that they had a plan sorted out, it was time to execute it.
"Meow meow, I'm in," Catwoman said as she hacked into Joker's email. She wrote an email that said something along the lines of 'come over and fix our lightbulb.'
Bruce was making coffee in the kitchen when the email was sent. His computer was in the other room, so he didn't see the email. Poison Ivy was outside the room, furiously gesturing toward the computer. Since he was in the other room, he didn't see it, so Ivy decided to go and see what was taking him so long. Ivy broke into the kitchen to talk to Bruce.
"Hey, Rich Boy! Check your email!" Ivy yelled at Bruce.
"Poison Ivy? What are you doing in my home?" Bruce asked.
"Check your email or I'll tell the rest of the villains that you're Batman," Ivy said before jumping back out the window. Bruce's head filled with a million questions, but his conscience told him that if he wanted his secret to be safe, he should check his email. When he did, he saw an email from Joker, which excited him. He was afraid that Joker was still mad at him, but then he remembered that Joker was angry at Batman, not Bruce. The email was talking about a lightbulb, which didn't sound like it would take very long to do. Bruce called over to Alfred and Richard that he would be gone for a little bit. Then, a giant vine broke through the window and threw him across town.
Luckily, there was a rather large flower where he landed to break his fall. He rubbed his head, which was starting to hurt. He ignored it and walked indoors. The place was filled with fear gas. Bruce realized that this was a trap, and turned to leave. Unfortunately, Mr. Freeze had shut and froze the door shut. Bruce felt betrayed, for this must've been the work of malice. Why else would a group of villains trap him inside a place filled with fear gas. He looked around for a place to hide, but all he could see was his parent's disapproving eyes, Robin's screams, and Joker's face filled with anger and hatred. He finally found a place in the house where the gas wasn't there. It was a closet with a toolbox and a new lightbulb. Bruce could hear the sound of Joker running away from what seemed like penguins. This must've been his fault. Who else would've gone to this trouble to have him suffer?
Joker spotted Bruce in a small area that was penguin free, so he ran into it. He was wondering what Bruce was doing here, but since he was holding a toolbox and a new lightbulb, he must've been here to fix it like Harley was jabbering on about. When he got into the closet, he heard someone close it, while also hearing the distinct sound of Mr. Freeze's freeze gun. Joker looked over at Bruce, hoping that he would have a clue what was going on. Bruce seemed to look angry, but Joker wasn't sure why.
"Hiya, Bruce. I suppose you're here to fix the lightbulb," Joker guessed.
"I thought I was, but it seems like I walked into some torture house instead," Bruce retorted.
"Torture house? Don't tell me that you're angry at me too, now."
"Well, you did trap me in your house and poisoned me with fear gas. Not only that, but Poison Ivy was threatening me to check my emails-"
"I don't know what you're talking about! Harley was just whining about a lightbulb, and the next thing I know, penguins are pecking my knees and now you're angry at me!"
"Are you implying that this huge scheme wasn't your fault?"
"Yes! From what I can gather, it's Harley's, Ivy's, Mr. Freeze's, and Scarecrow's scheme!"
"But you sent me an email!"
"Catwoman's a hacker! It was probably her."
A note slipped under the door. Joker picked it up and read it out loud.
"Motorcycle, Allergy, Bird, Vanilla, Another Allergy, Potato, Pumpkin and I did this, now shut up and start bonding," Joker read. Bruce grabbed the note and read it through.
"This is definitely the work of the Riddler. Motorcycle might be referring to Harley, since a Harley Davidson is a type of motorcycle. The allergies are probably referring to Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Bird is obviously Penguin. Pumpkins are guarded by scarecrows, so that's Scarecrow. Vanilla Ice sang 'Ice, Ice, Baby', so that could be Mr. Freeze. I'm not sure about Potato, though..." Bruce decoded.
"One complaint that people had about Batman and Robin was that Bane looked like a potato," Joker pointed out.
"You're right! Bane must be Potato!"
"Well, what I lack in knowledge of important things I make up for with movie trivia."
"Don't forget your knowledge of makeup."
"Oh yeah, that too. I wouldn't look so glamorous if I didn't have makeup."
"Actually, you'd still look stunning without makeup."
"Stop it, you're making me blush! Besides, don't we need to fix this lightbulb?"
"Those villains stuck us in a closet! Why should we do chores for them?"
"Maybe they'll let us out if we fix it."
"No, they said that they want us to bond, whatever that means."
"I think I know what it means."
"Really? What does it mean?" Bruce asked. Joker loosened his collar and took a deep inhale.
"Bruce, there's something I need to tell you."
