                                                                  TWO YEARS LATER

Bruce was in the kitchen, chewing on a piece of buttered toast. Alfred was currently preparing breakfast for Joker, who hadn't woken up yet. Dick was telling Bruce and Alfred about this cool girl that he had met in the park yesterday that had pink hair of all things. The other two listened intently though, since the boy's energy was very hard to ignore. After about 15 minutes, a fairly tired green-haired character walked into the kitchen, greeting his father-in-law, son, and husband. He then plopped into one of the chairs at the table and grabbed a piece of toast with jam on it.

"What did I miss?" Joker asked his family.

"Master Dick was just telling us about a girl that he met," Alfred answered.

"Really? What's her name?" Joker asked Dick.

"I'm not quite sure. I'm pretty sure it was Starflame," Dick responded.

"So she's either a punk or a hippie," Joker concluded, which earned him a jab on the arm from his husband.

"What's on the agenda for today, honey?" Bruce asked.

"Let's see... We need to take Robin to gymnastics at 1:00, I'll be robbing a bank at 4:25, you'll need to pick up some more fruit snacks as well," Joker listed.

"Don't forget the double date that you have planned with Ms. Ivy and Ms. Quinn," Alfred reminded.

"Right! It'll be at that fancy place that we went on for our first date!" Joker remembered.

"Man, that seems like so long ago," Bruce told himself.

"Stop it! You're going to make me misty-eyed," Joker told Bruce playfully.

"Don't you also have to star in the parade?" Dick asked.

"I think that's next week, actually," Bruce corrected his son.

"Sorry, I was looking at the calendar wrong," Dick apologized, a little embarrassed.

"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure I need to change the month on that thing anyway," Joker said, realizing that it had been 3 days since the month had changed.

Over the horizon, the bat signal flicked on. It was a little hard to see, but when Bruce glanced over, he spotted it nonetheless. He silently cursed to himself and tried to focus on his toast instead. Hopefully, if he ignored it long enough it would go away. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case and the rest of his family saw it. Everyone was a little disappointed that there was crime that early in the morning. Even Alfred and Joker were sad, and they weren't even the ones that had to get tight costumes on. Bruce rolled his eyes and picked up the paper instead.

"I'll just tell Aquaman to get it. He never has anything going on anyway," Bruce told everyone else.

"I'm pretty sure he's busy ruling Atlantis," Dick told his father.

"Crap, I keep forgetting he has a personality," Bruce said.

"I can go tell whoever's doing this crime to cut it out if you want, honey," Joker told Bruce, putting his hand on the other's arm.
