Morning arrived, and at the villain lair, every villain in Gotham City was sprawled across the floor of the living room. They all had stayed up very late the previous night prank calling and badly singing karaoke, so it was no surprise that 10:00 rolled around and no one had awaken. Joker ended up being the first to wake up, looking around the room from his spot on the couch. He had partied a bit too hard the night before, which meant that his head was throbbing with pain, so he decided to go get a Tylenol. Unfortunately, he had to cross the sea of bad guys to get to the bathroom. Joker had robbed museums before, so he figured that he would be able to get past his friends with no problem. Sadly, he realized that there was a difference between avoiding tracking beams and having to jump over Killer Croc while being quiet: one was hard, and one was nearly impossible.
When the Joker finally got to the bathroom, he was surprised when he saw Harley there already. It looked like she was using Joker's eyeliner, which made the clown annoyed. When the female finally noticed her friend, she hid the makeup behind her back. She started to roll on her feet, trying not to act suspicious. It was pretty clear though, seeing as how one eye was outlined with black while the other was not. The lady cleared her throat before striking a conversation.
"So, why are you up so early?" Harley asked, avoiding eye contact with her friend.
"I could ask you the same thing," Joker responded, rubbing one of his eyes.
"Well, it's not like I can just wake up with perfect makeup!" Harley pointed out.
"How much sleep did you get, Harls?"
"About 5 hours."
"How are you so energized, then?"
"I had a couple of cups of coffee."
"Do you usually wake up this early?"
"No, you usually don't wake up this late."
"Really? What time is it?"
"10:15."
"At night?"
"In the morning."
"Oh, that makes more sense."
"Yeesh, you really are tired."
"Sorry, Ms. Early Riser."
"I would suggest that you wake up a bit before your big date."
"Big date? My date with Batsy isn't tonight."
"Really? Then when is it?" Harley asked.
Joker thought about that. He realized that he and Batman had been so busy awkwardly flirting on the rooftop that they hadn't come to a conclusion about what time their date would be. Joker slapped his forehead as a punishment for his faulty memory. That had been his reason to talk with Batman in the first place, and he had just forgotten! Why was dating so difficult?
"I need to go ask Batman when we should have our date. If anybody else wakes up, just tell them that I had to go do something," Joker said to Harley.
"Can't you just text him?" Harley asked.
"Please, if I'm going to impress Batman with how good of a boyfriend I can be, then I need to do everything as extravagant as I possibly can," Joker replied, the thought of being outlandish bringing him awake.
