Richard woke the next morning in his own bed, a yawn escaping his mouth. The clock said that it was 8:00 am, so naturally, he got out of bed to see if Alfred was awake. He was certain that his father would still be asleep, knowing him. In fact, it would be a surprise if Bruce woke up before noontime. The boy had woken up later than usual because late the previous night, fireworks had gone off outside his window. He wasn't sure why, but he watched them regardless. Besides, it was kind of hard to ignore fireworks. A little while afterwards, he heard Batman yawn and go to his room. It was even later than the dark knight usually did, with it being 2:00. Then again, he usually did several workouts before going to sleep, so that might have been when he usually went to sleep. Richard only heard him sometimes though, seeing as how he was often asleep by that point.

The boy walked to the kitchen, expecting Alfred to already be making breakfast. Instead, he heard singing. Alfred never sang, even his favorite songs, which meant that it wasn't him in the kitchen. Batman would most likely be in bed until half past one, so it wasn't him either. Barbara didn't visit them unless she was invited, which ruled her out. Those were the main people who hung out at the manor, and Richard was now filled with curiosity at who this singing person was. As he approached the kitchen, the voice became more and more recognizable. Was it really who the boy thought is was? Why we he be in their kreitchen at 8:00 in the morning? The preteen's theory was only confirmed once he entered the kitchen. There stood the Joker, singing his absolute heart out.

"SO BABY COME LIGHT ME UP, AND BABY I'LL LET YOU ON IT," Joker sang into a stirring spoon while munching on a donut. The clown continued to sing until he noticed Richard staring at him in his pajamas.

"Why are you in our kitchen?" Richard asked, more curious than he was concerned.

"Well, your father and I finished our talk very late into the night, and neither of us felt like driving, so I just slept in the guest room. I figured that I would make him breakfast to show that I cared. Alfred already made your breakfast, it's on the counter," Joker explained, gesturing to the platter of food on the counter.

"So, you and Dad didn't share a bed?" Richard asked, which made Joker almost choke on his donut.

"We've only had two dates, we wouldn't want to take things too fast," Joker responded, his face becoming the shade of a tomato.

"Well, I guess that explains why you're wearing one of Dad's old t-shirts."

"He told me I could keep it if I wanted. I thought it was very sweet of him."

"Did you set off the fireworks last night?"

"Nah, that was your father's doing. I'm surprised he didn't tell you beforehand."

"I'm a little surprised too. Still, did you enjoy the date? You know, besides the whole 'throw you in an asylum' thing?"

"Are you kidding? That was probably one of the best nights of my life! It might be weird to tell you this, but your dad's quite the charmer."

"Aren't you technically my dad now, too?"

"It might be a little soon to say that, but I wouldn't mind if you called me that in the future."

"I just felt that it might be strange to constantly call you 'Joker.'"

     "You could call me Jo."

       "Really?!"

"I was joking, but you could if you wanted."

"Great! By the way, I didn't know you were an Ariana fan."

"Actually, your father and I sang a Taylor Swift song last night."

"That doesn't sound like something he would do. How do I know you're not lying?"

"I'm letting you call me Jo, it's a little late to be doing any untrustworthy things."

"I guess you're right. Do you mind if I eat my breakfast here, Jo?"

"Go ahead," Joker replied, still attempting to make scrambled eggs.

.....

Harley was sleeping in, since she had such a crazy previous night. She felt like she had had enough excitement for a long time. After a while, the sun became too bright, and she had to open her eyes and accept waking up. Surprisingly, she wasn't alone in her room. Killer Croc and Tarantula were standing beside her bed, starry-eyed. Harley raised her eyebrow at the two.

"What are you two doing in my room?" Harley asked, rubbing her eyes.

"Ivy just told us that she finally confessed her feelings," Tarantula explained.

"We wanted to know if you liked her back," Croc finished.

"Not exactly, why?" Harley answered. The two other villains' faces fell a bit.

"We were hoping that you would be a couple by now," Tarantula said, obviously disappointed.

"Look, Ivy's a great friend, I just don't see her in that way. Now get out of my room before I hit you over the head with a hammer," Harley explained, getting out of her bed. The other two headed her command and scurried out of her room. Harley closed the door and changed into a casual, red and black dress. Apparently, Joker hadn't come back from Wayne Manor, so there wasn't any big crimes happening that day. There was talk about Clayface breaking into the nearest research lab, and Penguin robbing the local art museum. Other than that, the day would be pretty uneventful. Harley slumped on the couch and tied on her skates, planning on riding to the park. While she was doing so, Poison Ivy sat down next to her.

"You weren't planning on going to the park without me, were you?" Ivy asked.

"I was going to ask, but you weren't around for me to ask," Harley replied.

"Well, I'm here right now, so do you mind if I join?"

"Sure, I guess. Just don't try to hold my hand or anything."

        "You've got a deal."

The two then left for their walk. Well, more like a skate and travel-via-vines. Either way, they were ready to leave.
