Levi's Point of View
"Let's move out!" I yell to the Scout Regiment. I kick my heels into the ribs of my horse. It rears up on its hind legs, whinnying loudly before we gallop towards the outer wall.
When we get there, the place is in ruins. Buildings have been lessened to rubble, Titans rampaging through the city, hunting for people to devour.
Blood splatters and mutilated carcasses scatter the cobblestone streets. The scene petrifies fresher recruits. Older recruits are seasoned to the scene of death and are hardly disturbed.
I notice Titans advancing and I initiate my ODM gear. I dive off my horse, tearing through the air, the wind ripping at my hair and clothes.
"ATTACK!" I shout, gripping the handles of my blades, soaring from building to structure.I near a Titan and operate my ODM gear to attach to it. Tensing my blades, I speed towards it, scoring the nape of its neck. I draw back as the creature explodes into a cloud of steam, slumping to the ground. I spot another Titan and move towards it. I hold my blades poised, shooting forward. I am about to slice the nape when the screams of a person in distress catch my attention.
The Titan I am about to exterminate has a woman trapped in its grip, only her head sticking out. She screams, her cries of terror exciting something buried in my stomach. I feel the strongest urge to spare her.
I slice the Titan's nape and swoop in, landing on its hand. I chop off its fingers and seize her, carrying us off into the air, before it crashes to the ground.
Normally we are advised to kill titans, and help people, but something deep within me orders me to carry her immediately to safety.
I drop her off on the top of the inner wall with some Military Police, returning to my post. If Erwin hears about this he'll have my hide.
"Tch," I grumble at the thought, as I dart back off into the city.
Eren catches sight of me."Captain! Are you hurt?" He asks.
Concerned, I gaze down at my body. Why would he ask such a thing? I'm fine. A long, deep crimson spot running down my white shirt answers my question. It's not my blood. Which means... It was hers.
I am annoyed because I know that will stain the starched fabric, but I am concerned about the person I saved.

Your Point of View
I am rushed to a clinic that is already filled with wounded, bloodied people. Nurses race around, dressing wounds and treating injuries.
As a nurse works on me, she talks to a male nurse working on someone in the bed beside me.
"... Captain Ackerman brought her to safety..."
My head spins and I have difficulty concentrating on their words.
"...He flew her away from the Titans and helped her out of the outer wall. He never does that..."
"...I didn't know he was capable of compassion. Maybe he's changing..."
"...I am highly doubtful of that..."
My wounds are bandaged and I'm left to rest, but their words don't leave my mind. I want to thank him since he saved my life. If it weren't for him, I'd be floating in the stomach of a Titan... I shudder at the thought.
He's a busy man. I doubt I'll ever get to see him again.
I think about his bravery. How he and the other members of the Scout Regiment risk their lives to help other people. Maybe I could join, and help return the favour. But they've been training for years.
The nurse who treated me walks by, a white hospital gown draped over her arm.
"Excuse me, miss," I say and she stops, peering over at me.
"Is everything okay?"
Yeah, I'm okay. I just had a question."
"Okay, what do you need?" She walks over, standing by my bedside.
"I overheard you talking with the male nurse earlier and you mentioned that Captain Ackerman saved me. I wanted to know if I could speak with him. I'd like to thank him."
"Well, I can speak to the Doctor. Maybe he can speak to Commander Smith and send Captain Ackerman over. But I can't make any guarantees."
"Oh, thank you." I smile at the woman.
"Try to get some rest, okay?" Her voice is soft.
"Okay."
She gives me a warm smile before she walks away.
