1.8 - We are broken

"What?" His happiness seemed to have faded away.

"I want to go home." I repeated.

"Well that's never happening." He said as he stood up and walked away. But I followed him.

"I miss my home, my father, my previous life. I was happy, just like you now are. I've done nothing to wrong you, so why are you doing this to me."

"Cara, stop. I don't have time for your emotional shit."

"Shit?" I questioned him. "Well I'm sorry for missing my family, my friends and my boyfriend!" I screamed at him.

"Boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?" He questioned me, his voice dropping.

"Yes. Jake." I told him.

"Oh.." He let out looking upset. "Well, Jake will just have to wait patiently for your return, as you're not going back any time soon." He told me bluntly.

"Can I atleast speak to him? Over the phone? Just once?" I asked him.

"No."

"Nathan please."

"No."

"Nath--"

"NO. Now shut the fuck up." He screamed in my direction. I sighed as I left him to be. I started wandering around the house until, I reached a room that I had never been in ever since I came here. I stepped inside and realised that it was a music room. There were all kinds of instruments here. I shut the door behind me and grabbed a guitar from the stand. After tuning it, I started singing the song that I wrote a few years ago.

I took a deep breath as a few tears rolled down my cheeks. I then continued singing with everything I had in me.

"Yeah

Then the door flung open and Nathan stood there. His eyes were also filled with hurt and pain. But that didn't stop me from playing my music.

"Lock the doors

He slid down the wall and rested himself against it. He listened intently at me singing my favourite song.

A few more tears slid down my face, as I remembered that the only safe place for me was my father's arms. But I couldn't have that anymore.
