We had managed to stay another full night again, which meant we were leaving just as the doors closed. We all came out with Koda, Jimmy, and her boss Martin and were saying our good evenings as Martin locked up.
"So tomorrow at six?" Koda asked.
"Yeah," Martin put his keys back into his pocket. " We're hosting a big party for somone and it starts at seven but I'll need you here earlier to help set up."
Koda nodded. "Alright. I'll be here." She smiled. Jimmy and her boss left down the sidewalk to where they parked, leaving just us five and her.
"Was tonight fun for you guys?" She asked. The breeze whipped her hair. That combined with her outfit gave her the appearance of a shadow. A very pretty shadow.
"Oh hell yeah." Jesse said.
"All except for when you say your shoes are cooler than mine." Mikey added. Koda let out a sot chuckle. You couldn't see her mouth move so it was kind of freaky just to hear it and not see it happen. A talking shadow. Sexy....
"You know for a fact Mr. Margott that you don't own a pair of NBHD Vans." She said. Earlier she showed us the pair of solid black Vans she had that had our symbol over the Vans sign on the heel. That inspired her and Mikey to go on and on about their shoe collections.
"Okay so maybe I don't. But you don't own the new pair of Nikes now do you?" He repeated himself from earlier. "Ha! That's what I thought!"
We laughed and as we rounded the corner everyone lit up. The street lamp and the glowing neon sign off the side of the club cast bright pink and dim yellows all over our faces. I could see Koda's teeth and the twinkle in her eye off the lights.
"Whatever. You know my shoes are cooler than yours because you don't have what I have."
Mikey rolled his eyes. "Surrree."
We stopped at a bike, a really pretty one too. It looked sporty.... with nice big tires and a sleek and curvey frame. Much like Koda...
"Except she doesn't have tires fucktard." I said under my breath.
"What?" Jeremy asked by me, puffing his cigarrette.
"Nothing. I was just..." think of something Abels, get it together. "Looking at the tires. I like the tires."
"That's the best you can do?" Bryan popped in. "Come on, we know what you said." He rattled my shoulders.
I nervously laughed then popped off. "Haha fuck you."
"I wish somone would." He replied.
"T.M.I?" Mikey offered, shaking his head.
"I bet Zach wishes the same thing huh buddy?" Jesse did what Bryan did and took my shoulders, shaking me.
"Oh haha, very motherfucking funny asshole. Leave me alone."
Koda was laughing so hard. I didn't realize how loud she laughed and how it changed like everytime she did. It was weird..
"Oooooohhhhhhhhhhh," She moaned really long. "Ohhhh man, that was soo funny. Ohhhhhhhhhh..."
We looked at each other. "You're a peculair one aren't you?" Jes-Jes asked.
"I guess you could say so." She stopped long enough to say. "Aww junk."
"Well, we'll see you around Koda." Jeremy patted her shoulders then all of a sudden jerked away. "Oh shit you got that new tat didn't you? Oh, I'm sorry.."
