Koda's Thoughts

"Don't do something stupid Zach.." I laughed. "Zach!"

I was reeling on the kitchen counter because of Zach's tickling hands. "ZACH!" I yelled- discombobulated. He was laughing too-Mmmm, that sexy smile. My laughter turned to desire while I waited for him to look me in the eyes. When he did, the flip from happiness to carnal pleasure was evident.

"This is the last time for the next few months." I whispered just out of earshot of the others.

"I know." Z rested his hands on my thighs. "Let's fuck."

We ran-seriously- past the quartet in the living room who stared at us like we were fucking retarded. I pulled Z hastily up the steps and flung open the door to his room. He slammed it hard then did the same to my lips with his.

"Fuck ZACH." I said while removing my arms from my leather jacket. We both moved inhumanly fast to get naked. I stared at him struggle with his belt, then jumped in to do it for him.

"Horny babe?"

I blushed at his comment before ripping his pants away. "Yes."

He took me by the hips and sank to the floor, holstering me right over his erection. He yanked me on then strengthened his grip while I rode. I tossed my head back- the tips barely scraping his fingers when I bounced. His face was pleasure-ridden and concentrating on me. "Fuck baby."

I was riding hard; so hard my bones rattled in their places.

"ZACH, ZACH.." I was loud, breathy, whiny. I sank my nails into his chest and heard his cry response.

"FUCK!" he banged the floor with his fists and rolled his head side-to-side. His chest heaved violently. I gripped on his chest as he dug his fingers into the carpet. He squeezed his eyes and called out my name LOUDLY.

"Z! Z!" I felt the shock then his tension twitching in me. Passion unraveled in my belly then sloshed out onto him. I was still bouncing in the aftershocks when he grabbed my hips and forcefully stopped me to stream. Through clenched teeth, he screamed loudly- my name, obscenities of all kinds- until I collapsed and he let go.

"Baby." I said into the crook of his neck. We both were heaving dangerously, and our hearts were drumming against one another. He petted my hair then pulled me gently back to look at him.

"I'm gonna miss that." he said breathlessly. "I'm gonna miss you and our wild fucking."

I laughed. "You speak the truth."

Zach's smile and kiss made me feel loved and cared for as they always had. I sat back and pulled up to get off. We both groaned as I stood and grabbed my things. He just laid there in his stripped knee-high socks.

"Hey, we're matching." I said, gesturing to our socks. He sat up and wiggled his toes, laughing. "That's cute." he commented.

Dressed, we moved downstairs for the last time until they returned from tour. The guys all stared on shocked and maybe a little weirded-out by our excursion. We smiled and kissed and held hands.

"Well, let's rap it up ladies. Time to go." Jesse said. Jer grabbed the keys and everyone else got their bags.

At the airport, I got a little homesick to them. Three months away on tour is going to be hellish. I took a long gaping look at the quintet, burning them [once again] into my memory. This was going to be it for the next twelve or so weeks. Fully it.

"Bye baby." Zach kissed me and gave me a hug. "I love you."

"I love you."

"Forever and always?"

"Forever and always."

Zachary smiled and pecked me one last time. I gave everyone else hugs and wished them all luck with tears in my eyes. Boarding call had sounded for the final time, so they really had to go.

"I LOVE YOU KODA ASHLEE!" Z yelled as loud as he could, which echoed ALL THROUGH the airport. People stopped and stared as I blushed and let a tear fall. "I LOVE YOU TOO ZACHARY!"

His smile left me in a wake of sickening homesickness. I started walking out clutching myself in fear I'll cave if I didn't. I neglected glares from other people until I got to the Denali. I puffed breaths, trying not to cry in the driver's seat. I frantically searched the sky to see them. A plane on the runway moved to prepare for take-off way off to my left. It's move was slow and monotonous until it finally made the turn around. I looked at the passenger floor and found a box-a present box with a shimmery red bow that cased the whole thing. I reached for it and stared at it, then tried to play catch up with the plane that was picking up speed; ready for take-off. I pulled the bow to undo it and removed the lid. There was foam and another smaller, invaded box inside. I gasped heavily at what I saw.

The sound of the passenger planes taking off was high-pitched and screaming. I stared at the plane I saw before raise off the runway and pull in its wheels. It rose and rose, high into the sky; it and others knocking my hair about. Squinting against the sun, I prayed for their safe return and happiness along the way. My hand let go off the ribbon by accident, so it went tumbling away. I watched it, then the plane until they both became specs. My heart swelled painfully at their leave. I looked in the box again, taking out the gift.

It was exactly the same, purely. Same chain, same shape, color, and feel. I sat the box on the hood and clipped it easily over my throat. I ran my fingers all along the shape and found a hinge on one side. I looked at the glass front; a mirror.

Okay, so maybe it wasn't exactly the same as the first one.

Gingerly, I opened it to the inside, finding it to be a two-way mirror. On the inner backside was a date and under it said 'Forever and Always'. I didn't understand what the date was, but simply closed it back and flipped the locket over. The back said the same as the first one. The first Lockett that was broken like so many other things at that time.

I got back into the Denali and twiddled the jewelry for a moment as I let the SUV warm up. I shifted into drive and pulled around to leave LAX. I was still in shock.... when did Zach get this one made? I slowed to a halt and the exit behind a Ford F-350 and a smaller Pontiac G6 in front of it. I opened the Lockett again and read the message. I still didn't get the date though. Traffic pulled up so I had to focus- eyes on the road.

Three months.

Countdown begins now.
