I opened my eyes since the constant flashing of light wouldn't seize. I blinked my eyes open in stages as I woke up and found out the light was fron passing street lamps on the freeway. I crinkled my eyebrows and brought in a loud slew of breath to waken the rest of me. Stretching and turning released all the kinks I had in my long frame until I finally was able to sit up and stare out at the darkness of the sky and the powerpoles that prompted my waking.
"Well hello there sleeping beauty." Koda said, taking a glance at me.
"How long was I out?" I asked, sounding just like a fighter who got knocked out.
"You fell asleep back in Cedar City." She answered.
"What? That's in freaking Utah. Where are we now?"
"We'll be in Farmington, New Mexico in about two hours."
"Damn." I sighed. I looked at the dash and saw the time; 10:44 pm. "Hey, you've been driving for hours now, do you want me to hop over there?'
"No." Koda said nicely. "I'm fine. Another two hours won't hurt." She shrugged. "And besides, we stop like an hour and a half ago to get something to eat. Speaking of-"
Eyes on the road, she dug into the center console between us and brought out a footlong sandwhich and a coke. "These are yours. I didn't want to wake you since you looked so peaceful and I know how it can be with the fame and blah blah blah... I don't need to tell you what you already know on that subject."
"Yeah. But remind me never to sleep in a seat like that again. At least wake me so I can move a little. My back is numb." I traced the small of my back as we snickered.
"I'm sorry."
I tore into the sandwhich, not really realizing how starving I was until the four meat, three cheese footlong began cooing my name softly back to me.
"Oh my goshm, fis iz amazingm." I said between mouthfuls. "Thank you."
"You're welcome."
I ate and looked out over the road. Tail lights glowed in front of us;a few cars switching lanes, slowing down, speeding past us. A cop car sat idle in between a break in the median just ready to bust somebody. Up ahead on Koda's side were flashing blue lights. I followed the glittering blue as we neared and saw it was just a traffic stop with a black Buick. The flashing painted Koda's face for a few seconds, glinting off her eyes. She changed her position to where she could sit back a little as she put the ginormous machine on Cruise Control again. Her legs contrasted heavily off the black interior and so did her shirt. Her tattoos flicked under the light since she had her arm on the door. I didn't realize until it was too late that she was also looking at me staring at her through the corner of her eye. I quickly snatched to face forward and went on eating my food.

We reached Farmington, New Mexico a little after one o'clock that morning.
"We still have two more days of that?" Bryan reached for heaven and shuffled like the rest of us around the hotel's parking lot.
"Hey Mikes, do you mind stepping on my back?' Koda asked. Mikey looked a little caught off-guard at first but agreed.
Koda layed on the ground next to the truck bed so he could have a hold. He was wary, but stepped around her spine, causing moans and groans from the girl who had her hands locked under her chin. I looked at Zach who stood a few paces away and saw the look in his body language, on his face, in his eyes. The loud groans and throaty moans were giving him the same feeling I realized I had too. Arousel.
"Thanks Mikes." She struggled to say and wave him off at the same time. He got off and nodded at her as she stood. "Alright, let's go get in there and get our rooms."
