I didn't have The Mustang, but I had a badass rental car. A 2015 Hennessy Edition Mustang. When I saw that charcoal grey body centered with red-orange racing strips down the middle, I knew that was it. That baby I wanted. The fee for it was a bit higher I do admit, but I figured; why not completely enjoy this experience and get that car! So I did.
Cruising down the freeway, destined for my original home, I had-as always-music blaring. 'Hypnotic' by Zella Day was playing, and all that time I thought about Zach and my little surprise for him. It'd been too long since we last seen each other and, honestly, I didn't care if my parents were there or not. I yearned for his touch. The feel of his warm lips on the tendons of my throat, his cold hands giving me chills, but warming fast as he ran them around my body.
Alright. My brain said. Let's keep it together and make it home safely.
This was smart. So I changed the song to 'Penetrate' by Godhead, and set my cruise control for eighty.

It was Friday, so my parents were working today. I'm sure with the concert tonight at eight, they'd get off a little earlier. When I came in the house smelled the same-like the home I had known for the past several years minus this most recent year in California. We lived out in rural Georgia, far from anything really, but it was beautiful. This time of year, everything was green and bright and HOT, which immediately reminded me that I should water our dogs while I was here.
Stepping onto our back patio I wasn't greeted to happily at first, but our two dogs began to recognize me easily. Jonco, our purebred Golden Retriever came to me first and jumped on me. I petted his cinnamon colored head and then turned to find Mastadon.
Across our four acres of backyard with a privacy fence came Mastadon, our nearly two-hundred pound full-blooded German Rottweiler. His teeth were bared, which scared me, and his bark was ferocious. I called his name, attempting to get him to realize it was me, but he kept bounding. I stepped back to grab the door but Jonco barked at Mastadon, and immediately he stopped his charge and began to trot smoothly to me. He looked up at me then stood on his haunches and licked my hand.
Big baby, I thought.
I gave the two dogs water then headed back in and started cleaning up for when they got here. The cats weren't too psyched I was here at first either, especially when I vacuumed. When I got finished though, they were all over me and wouldn't do their own thing. I didn't mind. I loved them all.

"Why the hell would we want to go to some gay ass concert anyway?"
That was my dad. Being sarcastic.
"Because you were invited and it would be respectful to go." I said while changing all if my earrings (I did have to rotate my nipple piercings so they could heal properly and not scab so bad, but I did that in my bathroom while they smoked. OW.)
"Watch it be some lame shit too." and my mom was joining in on the assault. Of course, like my dad, she was joking.
"I can't tell you because I've never been to one either, but it should be fun. And now you'll get to hear their music!"
"Oh, like you haven't bothered us about hearing their music before." my dad said while slipping on his Olympic Jordans.
"I promise you Jesse will love your shoes dad." I said.
"Well good for him."
I rolled my eyes and looked at my mom. She had recently died her hair; all her grey was gone.
