Aiden's POV

What the hell am I supposed to do now? I can't fucking leave him here.

Aiden: "Cal I'm not going to hurt you. You deserve it, after everything you deserve it, But I'm not going to hurt you. I've had my revenge, I've had my moment. That's all I needed."

Cal: "What?"

Aiden: "I need you to breathe for me OK? I'm not going to hurt you. You know where we are more so than I do, you know where the exits are and there is no way they would be closed off right now. Do you want me to take you outside?"

Cal: "No... No I'll be Ok."

I waited with him for a couple of minutes before the tears had stopped falling, his breathing had returned to normal, and he was picking himself up from the ground. Wiping his tear stained cheeks.

Aiden: "You Ok?"

Cal: "No... And yes."

Aiden: "What do you mean?"

Cal: "Do you find it, ironic, that I'm the one now being so scared of you. No matter how badly I want to just atone for what I did."

Aiden: "Cal, look, it's not as easy or as simple as saying I forgive you. You raped me, abused and harassed me for years, forcing me to act like nothing happened when I could barely even walk straight. Damn it Cal I would go days without being able to walk at all. And you know what the worst part was? My parents knew... And they let it happen."

I looked at the man cowering against the wall, legitimately terrified of me. The tables have turned, but I don't want this to be the same situation but with the roles reversed. It was the last thing I wanted. If he was serious, about wanting to make up for what he did. He will soon realize he has a long road to go.

Cal: "Yeah. I get it."

Aiden: "I'm going to go and find a dress. I don't care what you want to do, That's what I'm doing, Whether you follow me or not is up to you but don't try anything stupid. Got it?"

Cal: "Aiden we are both new around here. I would feel wrong leaving you by yourself."

Aiden: "Cal I was being polite, I don't want you near me."

I turned on my feet and started walking away, taking deep breaths and calming myself down. Lachlan will likely kick my ass but I don't care. I'm pretty sure none of them would even blame me for not wanting him near by. As I headed around the mall, waving or saying hello to anyone I know from school, I head towards one of my favorite shops. Hosting an array of different summer dresses, but I barely got to step inside before I was interrupted.

Clerk: "Excuse me sorry."

Aiden: "Hello what's up?"

Clerk: "We won't have anything in this shop for you, we specifically stock for women, there are no male clothes in here."

Aiden: "Just what I've been looking for."

I walked past her and started looking at a few of the clothes hanging on the racks. Pulling one out which made me feel rather... Pretty.

Clerk: "Put the dress back and get out. We don't stock for you and we never will Faggot."

Aiden: "Are you the only one working hun? You won't mind me asking for your manager."

Clerk: "She's not here."

The lady smiled smug at me before I heard someone in heels enter the store. We both turned to see a lady, maybe early 40's enter and place her bag down behind the counter before she walked over towards us.
