Nadine


"Baby." He called right after I stood up. I gave him a look, still smiling.

"Yeah?"

"Do you like this house? From its size to its color to its interior..." He asked. I turned around then gave the house a review. Hindi naman ito kasinglaki ng bahay namin pero malaki pa rin para sa isang pamilya. But maybe, it'll be fine with Kuya Austin and Ate Lily. Mayroon din siyang pool na siyang gustong-gusto ni Shaine. It also has a mini garden and the backyard where we stayed for couple of hours is really relaxing.

"It's nice." I commented then raised a brow to him. "Are you asking me what kind of house do I want?" I asked, trying to be cool but my heart skipped a bit.

"Well..." He shrugged then gave me a smirk. He put his arm at the back of his head, then let out a soft chuckle.

"Just want a simple house, Kier. Where we can call it a home." I answered, seriously.

"Of course." He whispered then his face showed some emotion like he's a bit tensed. He also keeps on looking inside the house like he's waiting for something, or maybe someone.

Napatingin rin ako sa likuran ko at agad ko siyang sinimangutan ng wala naman akong makita. May hinihintay ba siyang iba?!

Uh!

"There." He exhaled then stood up. Napatingin ulit ako sa likod at sa ikalawang paglingon, nasa paligid ulit ang mga pamilya namin. Their smiling at me like something good is about to happen.

"What---wait, are you going to propose?" Gulat na gulat na tanong ko ng tumayo ito at akmang luluhod. Tinignan niya lang ako at napatawa at nagkamot ng batok.

"Can you please give this moment to me then act like you're surprised?" He joked. Napatawa naman ako at napatingin sa paligid.

May mga hawak pala silang mga camera.

"Sure." I chuckled then face down.

"Okay." He smiled. "Actually, I prepared my speech but doing this kind of surprise for the girl that I love made me out of words. I don't really know where should I start or what should I say first." He said. I can feel the tense in his voice.

"Kier, just ask me if I want to marry you or not." I giggled, trying to cheer him up.

"Nadie..."

"Fine." I said in defeat then counted one to three. "But yeah! I will marry you! C'mon! You stand up and put the ring on it!" I exclaimed then pulled him up. Nagtawanan naman ang mga kasama namin na siyang ikinasimangot ni Kier.

"Just want to do the right thing in front of your dad." He whispered, sounds a bit disappointed. I cupped his cheeks then locked my eyes to him.

"Given na 'yun. May anak na tayo. Natural na papakasalan mo 'ko." I explained then gave him a smack. May tumukhim lang kaya agad akong napatigil at binalingan ito.

Si Daddy. I walk towards him then gave him a hug. He congratulated me and nods his head to Kier.

"I love you, dad. Thanks for everything."

"Baby, that's an email from your grandfather. Aren't you going to give yourself a chance to...you know. Ikaw ang dapat na nandoon sa lab." Tanong ko ng makita ko ang pinagkakaabalahan niya sa kanyang laptop. Hinila naman niya ako at pinaupo sa kandungan niya.

"How many times do I have to say this to you?" He asked me. "Ginawa ko 'yun dahil matalino ka. Isipin mo na lang, hindi naman ganoon ang magiging takbo ng ibinigay nilang team kung hindi ikaw ang naging leader." He convinced me. Napahinga ako ng malalim at napatango na lang.

He kissed my arm then turned off his laptop. "And why are you still awake?" May halong kaseryosohan ang boses niyang nagtanong.

"Because I want a goodnight kiss from you." I whispered. Kumunot ang noo nito kaya mas lalo kong naramdaman ang pagakyat ng dugo sa mukha ko.

"A goodnight kiss?" He asked, more on like teasing.

"Uh, yeah." I said, nodding my head. "But just one...and like this." I added. I gave him a smack before I get my body off him and immediately walk towards the bed.

Sasampa na sana ako ng mabilis na humakbang si Kier at pinulupot ang kanyang braso sa bewang ko. I closed my eyes when he pressed his body against mine and I gulped when I felt the heat that's starting to build up.

"Kier..."

"Let me give my baby a goodnight kiss then." He said huskily as he turns my body to him. He claims my lips as his hand lightly squeezed my butt.

"Damn it, baby. I love you so much." He said between his kisses.




JANUARY KIER

"She will be officially yours soon." I gave Kiyana a look and I can't help but to smile at her.

"I just can't believe it. I mean, she's Nadine." My smile became wider and I shook my head in disbelief. Kiyana just let out a chuckle then raised her hand on the air.

"And you are Kier." She reminded then rolled her eyes. Hindi ko siya pinakinggan ulit at tumingin na lang sa gawi nina Nadie.

She's busy talking to her stylish and she doesn't want me there. She said she wants to surprise me and also joked that I'll be truly mesmerized by her beauty especially the shape of her body. I chuckled again.

"Baliw." Kiyana commented again.

"Akalain mo 'yun? Crush ko lang noon. Tapos ngayon, sa'akin na siya nagpapasexy." I told myself proudly. Tumawa ako ng puno ng kompiyansa at nginitian si Kiyana.

Inis naman siyang tumayo. "Stop it. You're so creepy. Like hello? Alam na namin na mahal ka na ni Ate Nadie. You don't have to smile like an idiot."

I laughed softly. "Hindi lang talaga ako makapaniwala." I shook my head but this time, I'm serious. I leaned on the chair then look at Nadie's direction again. She smiled so I waved my hand then gave her a flying kiss.

"Paano na lang kung hindi na nagparaya si Lance at hindi ako hinampas ng baseball bat?" I asked then looked at me sister. "Paano na lang kung hindi na ako napatawad nina Tito Fhax?" I asked again.

My world literary crashed the moment my lost memories began to flash on my mind. Para akong nabuhusan ng kumukulong tubig at parang nalalapnos ang balat ko sa tuwing nakikita ko si Nadie.

"I only want her to be happy." He pointed at me. "Give her the love she's been waiting because she deserves that. She deserves everything a man could offer because she's one of a kind." He added then bent down on his knees. Napahiga kasi ako sa sahig dahil sa pagpalo at pagsipa niya kanina.

Masama ko siyang tinignan at sinubukang maupo pero sinipa niya ulit ako sa tiyan. Napaupo ako at nalasahan ko na rin ang dugo sa bibig ko.

"It's funny how I laughed at you when you declined grandpa's offer. But now, look at me..." He opened his arms on the air then chuckled sarcastically. "I just made a big sacrifice. Fuck love." He shook his head.

That was Lance did and it's not yet the end. I stayed at the hospital for two days after I got hit by his baseball bat for me to catch some rest. Hindi rin nagtagal ay napilit ko na silang idischarge ako.

I went to Kuya Nathan's resort. Gaya ng nangyari sa'amin ni Lance ay mas lalo akong binugbog ni Kuya Nathan pero hinayaan ko lang siya. I deserve it and I can feel him. Muntik na rin niya akong barilin pero dumating si Ate Vea kaya napakalma namin ng kaunti ang paligid.

It was quite hard but I made Nadie and our little baby as my source of strength. Hinintay kong mawala ang galit ng pamilya niya sa'akin bago ko hiningi ang kamay niya sa kanila. I didn't let her engage to any of my plans because she had enough. She deserves nothing but the best of me. And I promised myself that I will only show myself to her kapag maayos na ang lahat sa pagitan namin.

Three months later,things just fell into their right places.


"Jesus, I can't live without that pain in the ass---gorgeous lady in mylife." I absentmindedly concluded when I look at Nadie's direction again.
