Lachlan's POV
I'm sat on the couch, watching T.V. at home.
I can't believe that they kicked them out of the competition! They deserved to win.
Vikk is still at school while I've been home all day. It sucks having headaches like all the time and having to miss school.
The door opens and closes within a span of a few seconds. "Vikk?' I call out, muting the show. No answer.
"Vikk?" I call again louder. "Oh uh yeah? Sorry, i had head phones in." I hear a mumbled reply.
"Come here" I say, shutting the T.V. off. "Gotta go do.. erm homework." He mumbles.
"Vikk. Come here. Now." I say, concered. He sighs and walks out to where I'm sat. "What's up?" I asked.
He kept his head down with his hat covering his face. "Nothing" He says. "Look up." I say. He looks up slowly, revealing a dark purple bruise around his eye.
"Vikk!? What the hell happened?!?" I freak, getting up. "I-I got punched..Some bully didn't like me." He stutters. "Com'ere" I frown, pulling him into a hug.
I lift him over to lay down on the couch. "It's all gonna be okay." I whisper, laying him on my lap. "Just rest." I say. He curls up in my lap, closing his eyes.
I soon hear his small snores as he's fallen asleep.
"Nothing's gonna harm you, not while I'm around" I whisper.
"Nothing's gonna harm you, no sir, not while I'm around" I sing.
"Demons are prowling everywhere nowadays" I whisper. He moves slightly so i keep quiet for a second.
"I'll send them howling. I don't care, I got ways" I sing.
"No one's gonna hurt you, No one's gonna dare. Others can desert you, Not to worry, whistle, I'll be there!" I sing little louder.
"Demons'll charm you with a smile, for a while, But in time..." I smile at Vikk.
"Nothing can harm you, Not while I'm around..." I brush the hair out of his eyes.
"Being close and being clever, Ain't like being true" I sing.
"I don't need to, I would never hide a thing from you, Like some..." I whisper.
"No one's gonna hurt you, no one's gonna dare. Others can desert you, Not to worry, whistle, I'll be there!" I interlock our finger together.
"Demons'll charm you with a smile, for a while, But in time..." I rub my thumb over the back of his hand.
"Nothing can harm you, Not while I'm....." I say again.
"Around." I finish, kissing his forehead.
"I won't let them hurt you, Vikk. Never again." I whisper, holding him close.
"Never again"
