Lachlan's POV
I fix my black sweater that is wrapped around my body and pull up my brown jeans that cling tightly to my legs. I adjust my grey beanie that lays ever so slightly on the back of my head.
This has to be my favorite look out of all the ways i dress. Nothing special is happening but I'm going to my favorite bookstore.
I spend all my hours there just reading until it closes. It's almost as i can go there no matter my mood or how i feel. I can escape my world and escape all my problems and troubles.
But mainly because there's always the same cute little boy.
His midnight coloured hair is always styled is the same manor as his grey hoodie and black jeans sit ever so softly on his caramel coloured skin.
He has to be the cutest thing in this world and it would be an understatement if i said i just had a crush on his boy. He's always in the same department as i am and i totally didn't plan that out at all...Okay maybe.
I check the time and realize that i should be leaving now. I take one last look at myself and finally walk out the door.
The library is only about a block down from my small apartment so it's not all that bad. I hop down the stairs and exit out the front door of the building.
I almost jog there, excited to get there to see him. I speed walk across the smoke coloured ground. I finally reach the walnut coloured building, walking into the doors.
I don't see him yet, not knowing his name, i couldn't just page him. He's always in the same spot every time i come here.
There was an older lady there, sitting behind the tanned desk. I walk over, still keeping a close eye out.
"Have you seen a boy who works here with a grey hoodie and black jeans?" I ask. She frowns but nods. "Where is he?" I ask, getting nervous.
"He left. He doesn't work here anymore. But he left this book for someone named...." She trailed off. She picks up this book which i didn't catch the name of.
"Lachlan?" She nods. My eyes go wide and my jaw drops.
How does he know my name? I think.
"Do you know this Lachlan?" She asks again. I gulp and nod slightly. I hold out my hand for her to place it in mine.
"That's me." I whisper. She smiles in the slightest bit and hands the book over. I open the front of the book, hard covered book may i add.
'For Lachlan, In case you needed some place to escape to'
Along with a phone number i was almost positive was his. I walk over to the little corner in the library and start reading. "Chapter one" i mutter to myself as i drift into the world of books.
-Time Skip-
"Lachlan?" A voice questioned. I look up from my book, almost finished. I see the small boy who i have fallen in love with. I quickly sit up and nod.
"I see you got my book." He smiles. I bookmark the page and close it. He sits down beside me and smiles.
"Sorry i left. I got bored of this old place. Decided to open my own." He smiles and points to the store across the street. "That's sick." I nod, happily.
"Yeah. I'm Vikk by the way." He holds out his hand. "Lachlan. Although you already knew that." I say, shaking his hand. "Yeah...I checked out some of the books you read. Since you signed them out, i found out your name." He blushes.
"Good to know." I laugh. "So, why this book?" I ask. He simply shrugs.
"I used to be in love with this book. I'd never let it go. I'd read it a million times and never get bored." He laughs. I chuckle along with him as he continues.
"It's about 2 people who never knew each other but were madly in love." He whispers, looking up at me. I gaze into his hazel brown eyes as his pierce my blue ones.
I smile, looking down.
"How bout we get to know each other better...Maybe this Friday?" He suggests. I nod excitedly. "Sick. Just give me a call" He says, getting up and walking away with a hop in his step.
I held the book tightly to my chest as i let out a breath i didn't realize i was holding in. Vikk. What a cute name. I smile to myself and get back to reading my-our- book.
