Vikk's POV
"Yo Lach. Camera ready?" I asked. He stood by the camera, shifting it a few times. "Yeah. Ready." He gives me a thumbs up. I look up at the soon to be dark sky.
"Kay start recording." I say, looking back to the camera. He gives me a count down and starts it.
"Hey guys it's Vikk and Lachlan here back with another abandoned overnight break in!" I laugh, still trying to be quiet.
"So today we have an abandoned asylum that's been vacant for about 15 years. It's super old and probably dusty, but we have our masks handy so we'll be good." I inform.
"This building was shut down due to a nurse or worker killing patients. It was deemed unsafe and all the patients got moved to a different asylum." I continue as Lachlan comes into frame.
"So many have died here and we thought it'd be a great idea to... check it out" He says clasping his hands together. "Okay. Cut" I say, walking towards the camera.
"Do you think that's gonna be good?" He asked coming to my side. "With you and I in it, it's gotta be amazing. I mean, name a more iconic duo." I smile, patting his shoulder.
He nods as i pull away and walk to the front. I pull out another camera this one being smaller. "We have no clue how we're gonna get in." I say, recording.
"Yo look, there's a smashed window." Lachlan points out. We run over to it, making sure no one follows us.
We both knew that being in here could mean that we get arrested, but anything for our fans.
"Com'on. Let's see if we can get through it." I say, running over to the window. "It looks low enough to jump and pull our way up and through." I whisper, beneath the window.
"Don't fall. There's broken glass everywhere." Lachlan says with caution. I jump up, grabbing the edge of the window.
"Ow, fuck" I mutter, my finger being cut by a piece of glass. "You okay?" Lachlan asks, pointing the camera and flashlight at me.
"Yeah. Be careful." I say, jumping down onto the other side. There was metal bars underneath it so he could pass me the camera and flashlight.
"Wow" Lachlan mumbles as he jumps down from the window.
"This place is like dark as all hell." I say, looking around. "And smells horrible." Lachlan laughs.
We explore most of the place, commenting on the stench and how creepy it is.
-Time Skip-
We found the roof. It's crazy how they had free access to the roof. Although it would of been key card activated with power, it was still easy to go.
"This is so cool!" I exclaim. "Wait, what's that?" He asked pointing over to a blocky looking object near the edge.
I run over to it, trying to not make a lot of noise of this metal roof. Recording all of this is so much fun.
"It's a small set of stairs.." I start. "Leading to the ground. That must be what? 100ft drop?" Lachlan gasps. "This was someone trying to...." I trail off.
It wasn't lightish out anymore. Pitch black with only the moon and stars lighting up the sky.
"Yeah." He says. "Anyway, I think we'll end it there! I hope everyone enjoyed our little asylum mission." I smile even after the discovery.
"See ya all next time on the next place we go!" Lachlan says. "Bye!" We say at the same time, shutting the camera off.
"Wanna just chill up here for a bit?" I suggest. He looks at me for a long second and then nods. I walk over to nearly the edge of the building, sitting about a meter away from it.
"That's sad" Lachlan mumbles, eyes fixed on the sky. "What is?" I ask. "The stairs." He whispers. "Yeah" I frown.
"When'd you and I meet?" He asked. "Uh i think it was like after high school?" I say. "Why?" I question.
"I never told you much bout me, have I?" He says. "Uh no? Not really sure what you're getting at here.." I say, pretty confused.
"Grade 10." He says simply. I tried to recall anything he's told be about that year, but nothing comes to mind. "What about it?" I ask.
He sighs sadly, keeping his gaze fixed to the sky as if he's stuck in a daze.
"That year was crazy. I had pretty much everything a teenager could ask for. Quarterback of the football team, smart and handsome." He smiles fondly at the memory.
"It was also the worst time of my life." He frowns. "I still am confused." I say.
"I came out that year. As gay. That's when it went down hill. I had everything taken away from me because i was trying to be who i knew i was inside." He mumbles.
I look at him, his eyes glazed over. "I'd get pushed into lockers, books slapped out of my hands, people calling me names and even getting kicked off of the team" He says, tear slipping down his cheek.
I place my hand over his, linking them together. "I wanted to...die i guess." He whispers. I look at him as my blood runs cold.
"No other way to put it. I was glad we stopped filming, any longer and I probably would've started crying." He said.
"Oh Lach.." I trail off. "This was up til...Well til you came along." He says, looking at me now.
"Oh really?" I asked, actually interested. "Yeah. You were kinda my light at the end of the tunnel." He explains.
"I wouldn't be doing this, heck i wouldn't of even been here if it weren't for you." He stares into my eyes. I look at him as his eyes still glazed over as are mine.
"Well, you're welcome. But I'm glad you're here too. I wouldn't be the me I am today if it weren't for you." I smile. He smiles back giving my hand a soft squeeze.
He flickers his eyes from mine to my lips and back. I push forward and place my lips on his. It didn't last long, few seconds at most. It was simple, nothing but love.
"I like you a lot Vikk" Lachlan says. I smile, looking down still being a few inches away from his face. I look back up lovingly. "I like you too Lach" I smile.
"More than you could Imagine."
