Lachlan's POV
I sigh deeply. I just lay in my bed doing nothing.
Lately, I've been feeling as if all I'm here to do is to merely exist.
I lazily get up out of my bed, walking downstairs.
"Hey, Lach" Vikk smiles at me. "Hey," I mumbled, grabbing a water bottle from the fridge.
He stares at me intently as his show plays in the background. I sit down on the couch next to him.
"Lachlan, what's up? You okay?" Vikk asks, muting the T.V.
"Have you ever thought why you were put here?" I asked, staring off into the wall. "Whatta you mean, Love?" He asked.
"Like yo I'm alive and all, but what's there to do? I feel as if I just exist." I frown.
"Why's that Lachy?" Vikk asked, sitting as close as possible to me. "I dunno." I mumble.
"Let me ask you this." He started. I averted my gaze to him and let him continue.
"Do you have two eyes?" He asked. "Yes?" I answered confused.
"How bout two ears?" He asked. "Uh yeah?" I mumble.
"Two lips?" He continued. "Of course. But I don't get why-" "Shush." Vikk cuts me off my putting a finger on my lips.
"Two arms?" He asked. "Mmhm," I mumble, still highly confused.
"Two legs?" He asked. "Yes," I say.
"How about two lungs?" He asked again. "Yes, Vikk," I mumble.
"How about two hearts?" He asked. "No of course not. That'd be weird." I laugh.
"Wanna know what this has to do with everything?" He asked. I nodded.
"Well you see, no pun intended, you were given two eyes so you can see all the beautiful things around you. To enjoy all the sights and see amazing things." He said.
"You were given two ears so you can hear things. So that you can hear laughter and joy of others. You can listen to music and hear your friends talking to you." He continued.
"You were given two lips to speak. To smile. To laugh. To kiss. Without them, you wouldn't be able to do anything even eat or drink." He smiled, kissing me on the cheek.
"You were given two arms so you could hug, climb, point, push, pull and much more. Without your arms, life would be pretty hard." He shrugged.
"You were given two legs to walk. To run. To jump. To play. To wonder the world or maybe just the backyard. You can do so much."He said, placing a hand on my knee.
"You were given two lungs to breathe in the world. To survive actually. To blow out candles and blow bubbles. Who would wanna live in a world without bubbles?" He laughs.
I smile and laugh along with him.
"Wanna know why you were given only one heart?" He asked. "Because there wouldn't be enough room in your chest for two?" I answered questionably.
"Well, yes. But there's another reason." He said. "And what's that?" I asked.
"Well, you were only given one heart to love. You know how the stereotypical heart looks?" He said making a heart with his hands. "Yes," I answered.
"Our hearts in our bodies don't look like that. And that's because the other half was given to your soul mate." He explains, putting a hand over my heart and a hand over his own.
"Without you, I'd only have half of a heart. "I don't get what you mean," I say.
"Well without you, I'd be left looking for my other half my whole life. You've taken that spot already and if all of a sudden you disappeared, it would be empty. Sure, I may find someone new, but no one could ever fill that hole like you." He explained.
"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" I asked, staring at him admiringly.
"Yeah, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again" He smiles.
"I love you so much" I mumbled, giving him a kiss on the lips. "I love you too Lachers" He smiles.
