Chapter 229: Boss - The Hybrid Swarm, Arnyvalkae

The boss fight kicked off into full swing with the [Arnyvalkae] roaring loudly before taking off into a charge, dashing straight for us.

The beast swiped at us with claws and teeth. Each time we dodged or blocked the attacks.

One of its attacks, a beam of light, caught Xuelian and me off guard. It clipped both of us sending us to the ground.

Standing back up we charged in slicing and striking at the beast.

The boss would use a combination of charges, swipes with its claws, the beam attacks and would call a swarm of those wisp-like creatures to swarm and surround us. This caused a temporary «blind» and then a «slow» effect, while slowly causing «damage over time».

In one attack it would roar, and a pillar of light would appear, you then had to hide behind that pillar or take damage from is charge, you then had to move away from the pillar or take damage from it exploding. Both Xuelian and I were hit by this attack several times

Eventually we lowered the boss to half «health» and two identical beasts split off from the main body.
