The next morning we decided to take it easy until the start of our next fight.
We were now in the quarter-finals.
We went to eat and discussed our plans for our next fight. We had decided that I would fight Sevosmai while Xuelian dealt with Maerikhon.
From watching their fight we both thought that Maerikhon was the better of the two and judging from their skill it would be easier for Xuelian to deal with Maerikhon while I fought Sevosmai.
After our meal we relaxed for awhile before heading to the arena.
When it was finally our time to fight we entered the ring. We watched our opponents enter the same time as us. They each wore a hood that prevented us from seeing their faces, a feature of the game.
Before the match started Maerikhon approached us extending a hand to both of us as a friendly gesture, wishing us good luck.
We sent our opponents the match request, they accepted and the sixty second countdown started.
We materialized our weapons, and waited for the start of the match.
At the five second mark the announcer started their countdown.
"Five, four, three, two, one . . . Start!"
