Chapter 261: The Calm Before the Storm

Before the we left Leilianna and I were told we would be part of rear group despite our lower tier. I assumed that was because of Cyrus. I have to thank him later.

As part of the rear group, we would commence our attack after we see the signal - two volleys of fire arrows loosed at the aggressors.

Without anything left to discuss the meeting was adjourned. We all left, heading back to town. We decided that tonight we would make any last preparations and relax together.

That night I didn't sleep well, I was too excited -or maybe too nervous - to sleep. I ended oversleeping after finally falling asleep. The others didn't say much of it except the few giggles and chuckles.

That entire day Xuelian and I hung out with Cyrus and Leilianna. It was to be an easy, relaxing day for all of us.

It was the calm before the storm.

The hours passed; the appointed time approached. We all went to the meeting point together.

It was there that Xuelian and Cyrus received their targets. After a last set of instructions, we left to head to spot where we would be awaiting the coming battle.
