Jesy's POV

The door opened to a middle aged smiley lady with curly afro hair, that reminded me of Leigh-Anne's.

Foster Mom: "Hi Hanna, nice to see you again." She said smiling.

Hanna: "Hi Claire, this is Jessica, Olivia and Eloise's sister and guardian," that is going to take some getting used to, these little girls now depend on me to protect them, provide for them and care for them just as much as their parents did. These girls deserve the world and I can only hope that I am able to raise them and love them as their parents did for me and would've done in their futures.

Claire: "Olivia, Eloise, somebody is at the door for you," she calls turning her head into the family home.

A few seconds later, a hesitant Olivia poked her head out from the side of a room on the right of the front door. As she came round the doorframe I could see the sadness in her eyes and the tear stains on her cheeks broke my heart as she turned round back into the room beckoning somebody still hidden by the wall.

Olivia: "Come on Ellie" she whispered her voice cracking as she reached her hand out to comfort and encourage her younger sister.

Olivia turned towards me and a small smile escaped her lips, as she walked towards the open front door.

Claire: "Why don't you come in, Jessica," she offered closing the door gently behind Hanna and I. I returned the gesture with a smile kneeling down in front of the small girls.

Olivia: "Jess" she said quietly as she fell into my open arms clutching on to the back of my shirt tightly. It took a few seconds but quickly I heard the quiet sobs and felt the tears land on my neck. I held her tightly rubbing her back gently in an attempt to comfort the 7 year old.

Me: "Shhh, shhh Livy Lou, its okay, I'm here" I said gently, reaching forwards towards Eloise. As I lent to take the hand of the smaller child, she flinched away and Hanna bent down next to me.

Hanna: "She cut her arm in the accident, nothing serious though," she whispered in my ear gently. "We'll give you some space," she continued as her and Claire walked into the room Olivia and Eloise had come out of just seconds ago.

Me: "Come here sweet girl," I said holding Olivia tightly with my left arm and stretching my right towards Eloise. She accepted the hug in the same way Olivia did and I sat on the floor pulling both girls into my lap, as they sobbed.

As I sat with the two small girls, I felt tears roll down my cheeks just thinking of the horrible things that they must have seen in the past 48 hours, I couldn't imagine the terror that they had felt being in a strangers house when all they wanted was their parents. I whispered quiet comforting words into their ears in an attempt to calm the upset girls down.

Me: "Are you okay, girls" I asked concerned, already knowing the answer but wanting them to communicate with me. They responded with just murmurs and slight nods of the heads still holding me tight. I rubbed their backs and played with their hair for a few minutes until I felt the tears slow down and the grips on the back of my shirt loosen. I pulled them back from my chest wanting to see their faces as I spoke to them.

Me: "Hey, hey, everything is going to be okay. I've got you." I say wiping the tears from the girls cheeks.

Olivia: "Jess, why are you here," she asked confused, with Eloise backing up her question with a tilt of her head, letting her brown hair fall across her shoulder. I knew I would have to tell them at some point but I was hoping it wouldn't be this soon. I thought carefully before I answered knowing that I would have to be gentle telling them the events of the last day, that they were too young to understand let alone have to live.
