Jesy's POV

After leaving the house about ten minutes later than I had planned, I got a taxi to the upmarket Italian restaurant where Josh had booked a table. I knew that since I was a little late, I hoped that Josh would already be there. I sashayed into the restaurant stopping at the front desk in my high heels and brand new dress.

Me: "Hi, I've got a table booked under 'Josh Parker'" I stated confidently.

Manager: "Yes, the other guest has already arrived, I'll show you to your table now,"

Deep Breathes, Jess. Deep Breathes. I said to myself as we strode through the busy restaurant, I could see Josh as we got closer to a table of two in the corner, with a romantic candle lit in the centre.

Manager: "Here you go, Miss Nelson," he said gesturing towards the table.

Josh: "Jess, you look beautiful," Josh stood up from his seat, kissed my cheek and pulled my chair out for me.

Me: "Thank you, lovely to see you again,"

Josh: "And you,"

Me: "Sorry, I'm a few minutes late, I got held up at home," I said tactilely avoiding the real reason why I was late, I hadn't told him about the girls.

Josh: "Not to worry, fashionably late, what would you like to drink?" he smiled.

Me: "A glass of white wine, please,"

Josh: "Lovely, good choice," he smiled, ordering for me.

Me: "Thank you very much,"

Josh: "You're welcome, so where exactly do you live?" he asks, making typical adult conversation. I assume, it's been so long since I had adult conversation with somebody other than Perrie, Jade, Leigh Anne and my work colleagues.

Me: "Kensington and Chelsea, a little two bedroom house,"

Josh: "Very nice, I'm by Tower Bridge,"

Me: "Where do you work?" I asked.

Josh: "I won't bore you with all of the details but in a bank," he said shortly. A Bank. And living near Tower Bridge. I'm actually on a date with a 20 year old millionaire. My little dance studio job  all of sudden doesn't seem so good. "And you?"

Me: "Umm- I'm a dance teacher/choreographer. I'd like to do the west end shows one day," I explain.

Josh: "Oh, very nice! I'd love to be able to do something creative like that, but I'm the least creative person you would ever meet!" he laughed.

We spent the next half an hour chatting, proper adult conversation that you get on a date. It had been so long since I had been to a restaurant without a kids menu and playground in the back and it was great although I still hadn't managed to tell him about the girls. I hadn't planned on keeping it a secret but it just happened, it never exactly came up in conversation and I was a bit worried about his reaction.

Josh: "I have to admit, I was super nervous about tonight..." Josh admits as we tuck in to our main courses.

Me: "Me too, it's been a while since I've done anything quite like this," I say, truthfully.

Josh: "I can't believe that, not somebody as beautiful and nice as you are! Why has it been so long?"

Come on, Jess. Just say it! Stop thinking about it and do it!

I took a deep breathe before carrying on.

Me: "Umm- it's complicated. A bit of a long story..." I dragged out what was inevitably coming.
