Jesy's POV
After Olivia's little meltdown last week when I first mentioned my night out, I hadn't talked about if again. It's now Wednesday and I'm planning to ask them again over dinner, I want to make sure that they're both okay with it. Eloise didn't really understand when I told them last Saturday, she was more worried about the idea that I was going to the soft play centre without her! And Olivia's meltdown meant that she didn't really get to talk about anything afterwards. I don't want to go out to have them worry and panic the whole time, I want to check that they're both okay.
Me: "Girls! Come for dinner please!" I call placing the plates on the kitchen table listening to their feet run down the stairs. "Have you had a nice day?"
Olivia: "Yeah, I made a new friend at school,"
Me: "You did?! That's nice, is she new at school?"
Olivia: "Yeah, it was her first day..."
Me: "And you made friends with her, that's so nice, Livy," I say remembering the girls first day back at school. "Do you remember your first day at school?"
Olivia: "Yeah, I was nervous," I try to stop my laughter knowing that it was way more than just a little nervous.
Me: "You were, and I bet that little girl today was nervous so you really helped her by playing with her. Eloise, did you have a nice day?"
Eloise: "Umm- yeah?" she said sounding more like a question.
Me: "Are you sure?!"
Eloise: "Yeah," she said turning back to her dinner, she was always quieter than her sister.
Me: "You know today's Wednesday, so in two days it's Friday and that's the day I was going to go out with Aunty Perrie, Leigh and Jade. Are you still okay with that, Ellie?"
Eloise: "I don't know..." she said nervously, I was afraid that she had been affected by Olivia's meltdown and her big sister's thoughts had been passed on to her, right now she looks at Olivia curiously wondering if the same topic of conversation is going to cause another meltdown.
Me: "What don't you know?"
Eloise: "If I want you to go..."
Me: "It's okay to be nervous, because I've never gone out like this before but it's only for one night and I'll be back by the time you wake up in the morning and I'll put you to bed at night so you won't even know that I'm not there,"
Eloise: "You promise..."
I hated that she had so many doubts at such a young age, a five year old shouldn't have to worry about things like that, they should just believe everything.
Me: "I promise, we can do everything the same at bedtime, we can have a bath, and a story and kisses and cuddles, just like we do every night,"
Eloise: "B-but what if I wake up?"
Me: "Well, Kate from the studio is going to be there and your magic monitor will be on so she'll be able to hear you and she can put you back to bed if you do wake up,"
Eloise: "I like it when you put me back to bed,"
Me: "I know you do but sometimes it's okay for somebody else too, it's just for one night all the other nights I'll be there,"
Eloise: "Mmm- yeah..."
Me: "Olivia, what do you think?"
Olivia: "Umm- I think, maybe you can go..."
