Jesy's POV

After Perrie and Jade had taught Eloise how to do a cartwheel when they were babysitting the other day I had phoned a local gymnastics centre. She was always jumping around and had a lot of energy, so I thought that she might enjoy gymnastics more than the ballet classes that she was in at my studio at the moment. Today she was going for her first class with a group of other 5 and 6 year olds. Leigh Anne was coming over to look after Olivia so I could take Ellie by herself.

Me: "Eloise! Come on, let's get you ready for gymnastics," I said, going into the girls bedroom where the two of them had been playing.

Eloise: "What am I going to wear?" she asked confused.

Me: "You can just wear your ballet outfit," I said rummaging through the drawers to find her little pink leotard.

Eloise: "B-but that's not what proper gymnastics wear!" she said sitting on her bed, that she still wasn't sleeping in!

Me: "I know, but if you like it after today then I'll get you a proper gymnastics leotard," I decided, not wanting to buy her the correct uniform if she was going to hate it! I had also never done gymnastics as a child, so I didn't really know what she would need.

Eloise: "Yeah, okay," she agreed letting me fix her hair into a french braid.

Me: "Let's go downstairs and wait for Aunty Leigh Leigh," I decided, we didn't have to leave for about an hour but I didn't want to be at the gym late.

Leigh Anne arrived a little over fifteen minutes later and Eloise and I left just afterwards.

Me: "Are you excited, Ellie?" I asked when we were on our way to the gym.

Eloise: "Umm- I don't know," she said nervously.

Me: "Are you a little nervous?"

Eloise: "Yeah, can you stay with me?" she asked quietly.

Me: "I don't know bubba, I'll stay in the gym but I don't know if I'll be able to stay with you during your class,"

Eloise: "Oh, I-I don't want to do it," she said her thumb making its way to her mouth.

Me: "Yeah you do, I'm sure you will be fine. You're going to have so much fun and you're going to make some new friends and I promise I'll wait for you right outside," I say trying to think of all the good things that she'll be doing, I know she does want to do it, it's just her nerves and separation anxiety that get in the way.

She doesn't respond and instead sucks on her thumb nervously.

Me: "Take your thumb out of your mouth!" I said jokingly, not wanting to cause tears or a meltdown if I tell her off. "Good girl," I praise when she sighs but takes her thumb away from her face.

Eloise: "Only I get to do gymnastics not Olivia," she mumbles as we pull into the car park.

Me: "Yeah, this is your special thing, huh. You get to do it before Olivia and you can tell her all about it when we get home," I said smiling, everything Eloise did as the little sister, Olivia had already done. It was funny to see what she found so exciting about doing new things and I loved having a little bit of time alone with her.

Eloise: "Yeah," she agreed unbuckling herself from her car seat, this was her new trick that she had learnt recently but she knew that she wasn't allowed to open the door without an adult.

Me: "Come on then, monkey! Let's go inside," I said helping her out of the car holding her hand tightly as we walked across the parking lot towards the gym's front entrance.
