Jesy's POV

The girls first week of school is now over, it was long and stressful for the both the girls and I. Olivia cried most mornings after the first, realising that this was now happening frequently, her teacher told me she settled after a few minutes but it was still awful leaving her in tears. In the afternoons, I could tell whether she had had a good or bad day in the first few seconds by her face, if she was skipping, smiling it was good and we would have a good evening, the next day she would cry less. If she was sad, downcast, dragging her backpack along the floor it was a bad day. 3 out of 5 had been bad days and all of those we had horrendous evenings, meltdowns and tears.

I had gone in with Eloise everyday this week after Monday's meltdown, 2 hours in the morning Tuesday and Wednesday, and the whole morning Thursday and Friday, she had cried a little but was much more settled now. Next week, I was going to have lunch with her and stay in the afternoon so hopefully by the week after she would be able to stay on her own.

Every night this week the girls had stayed at the studio with me while I was working but next week Perrie was going to babysit one day for me. I went to work this morning, but I finish at 12. Leigh-Anne was still there, but Perrie and Jade had come round to my house. It was nearing the end of September now, getting colder outside so we tended to stick to playing inside. Both Perrie and Jade were great at playing with the girls, having fun themselves as well as the girls.

Now, that the girls were back at school and I was back at work, I wanted to get into a bit more of a schedule and routine, which included getting stricter on the girls. In the past few weeks I had let them get away with a lot, tantrums, refusing to sleep in their own beds and misbehaviour, they had been through so much and I felt bad to be 'mean' to them even though I know that it wasn't really 'mean', I didn't want to make them feel any worse and ignored behaviour that I probably shouldn't.

Me: "Do you want a snack, angel?" I asked, Eloise had just woken up from her little afternoon nap.

Jade: "Huh? I do!" she cheered. Eloise had shaken her head snuggling back into the couch.

Me: "Wasn't talking to you, but help yourself," I laughed, as Jade disappeared into the kitchen.

Jade coming back in with a pack of cookies sat on the floor next to Olivia joining in with the game she had been playing with the toys spread across the floor messily.

Me: "That's enough, Olivia," I said, having just watched her put a fifth cookie in her mouth.

Olivia: "B-but..." I interrupted before she could argue with me.

Me: "No buts, I said enough, you won't eat your dinner," I said firmly raising my eyebrows.

Olivia: "That's not fair, Jess," she moaned.

Me: "Why? Give me three good reasons why it isn't fair?" I asked, curious as to what she was going to come up with.

Olivia: "Umm, Aunty Jade, yeah, you didn't tell her to stop," she said pointedly.

Me: "Aunty Jade is an adult, she can decide when she had enough, you are seven I decide when you have had enough," I said. Jade smiled at me, finding it just as amusing as me watching Olivia try to argue with me.

Olivia huffed, sighing, turning back to her toys. I watched them for a few more minutes, and was about to go into the girls bedroom where Perrie and Eloise had gone when I noticed Olivia's hand reach across Jade to the bag of cookies.

Me: "Don't even think about it, Olivia." I warned, sternly.

I walked over kneeling in front of her, lifting her chin so she looked me in the eyes.
