Ryan left a bunch of messages on my phone. Dallon brought me my phone when he rung again.

"Brendon! Where the hell are you?!"

"I'm with Dallon."

"I'm coming to get you. What's the address?"

"Like I'd know."

"Don't start your shit. You're not the one who had to call your mother and explain that you were missing!"

"You took me to a party where I was thrown out and my cane was broken!"

"I told you to stay put but you stepped on someone and security had to drag you out!"

"Wow, yeah, just get mad at the blind guy for stepping on someone."

"Well, your mother is on her way so I hope you're damn happy that my pay just got cut in half."

"It's not my fault."

"Just get back to the dorm." He growled, before hanging up angrily.

I frowned. It's always my fault.

"What an ass," Dallon muttered.

"Yeah, but whatever"

"Want a ride back?"

"Yes please."

"My cars downstairs. Let's go."

I really hated the stairs in this dorm. They were an awkward size.

Dallon held me close and helped me down.

I was glad that there weren't issues.

He took me to his car and he helped me. "Do you want me to do the seatbelt?"

"Oh, no, it's okay. I can do that". I assured, making sure to do it quickly.

He got into the driver's side.

I did try to hide my jealousy. As a kid, back when I could see, cars were my favourite thing in the world, and I was always counting down the time until I could get a license. Now, I would never get that chance.

I let out a whimper accidentally.

"You okay?" Dallon asked.

"I-I'm fine."

"Okay..." he roared the engine to life.

I was so jealous. My fascination never really shifted. I think my Dad had that influence on me.

We arrived at the dorm and Dallon led me upstairs.

"Thanks for driving me."

"No problems. I can't stay long, I have to get to work on the other campus."

"That's okay."

He led me to the door and sighed. "Ryan, come on. There's not enough space for anyone to walk through here, let alone Brendon."

"There's plenty."

I took one step towards my bed and tripped over onto a pile of stuff.

"That was my laptop, Brendon!"

"Well, you're the reason I tripped!"

"No, I'm not! I was studying!"

"It's your stuff that I tripped on!"

"It's your fault that you're blind!"

The room fell deadly silent. I sat up and let out a long sigh, before feeling around for my bed.
